Wilsons Leather Jacket Review

Hey yall!  I hope you all are having a wonderful day and week so far!  As for me, so far so good! 

I remember back in the days when I was a teen in high school while living in California how popular wearing leather coats was.  If you didn’t have leather coat during that time consider yourself uncool and not trendy.  I guess you could have considered me as uncool because I didn’t have one but I was determined to get one.

I was 15 and was really starting to get into fashion.  It seemed like all of my friends had a cute leather jacket and I wanted to be like them, so on my birthday wish list I added a leather coat along with having a new cell phone.

When my 16^th birthday rolled around, my step-dad surprised me with a black Wilsons blazer leather jacket and also a Verizon wireless prepaid cell phone- boy was I extremely happy with my birthday gifts!  You couldn’t tell me nothing I thought I was the coolest in my jacket.  I would pair it up with my jean skirts and Nine West leather boots; you couldn’t tell me nothing, I was stylin’!  

My leather jacket from my step-dad lasted for years without me needing to apply leather protection spray to it.  I made sure to take good care of my jacket.

As the years passed and me having 2 kids, I could no longer fit my jacket so it stayed hung up in my closet for years.  It was hard for me to give my jacket away because my step-dad passed away several years back and I felt like the jacket was a special memory of him that we shared together.  It brought so much joy to his heart seeing his princess (that is what he called me) wearing a jacket he purchased that I loved so much.

It was so hard for me to buy another leather jacket so I just never purchased one.  I kept holding onto that 15 year old jacket but finally made the decision last year it was time to let it go, so I made the choice to donate it so someone else can enjoy the leather jacket as much as I did.

Just recently, Wilsons Leather contacted me to review one of their jackets of my choice.  I’m delighted that they have contacted me because I believe it is now time for me to have a leather jacket in my adulthood.

As I mentioned earlier, Wilsons Leather allowed me to choose which jacket I would like to review, so while browsing their website what caught my eyes were their bomber jackets and moto jackets.  The reason why I like both styles is because the jackets are not too long on the bottom and with me being a short person I would hate to look even shorter.  It was hard to choose between the two but winner was the bomber jacket and I’m very pleased I’ve chosen it.

My Marc New York Leather Knit bomber jacket is so stylish and modern with a great fit- true to size.  This lavish jacket has soft and smooth leather and I love the rib-knit trim which is also soft too.   I can wear this coat forever and it’ll never go out of style.  I can see myself wearing it with a pair of jeans, a sporty dress, shorts, and jeggings. 

Although we’re in the warmer months, I feel I can still get away with wearing it in the early mornings and late at night since the jacket is lightweight but when fall and winter hits you’ll always see me wearing this jacket- I’m so in love with it!
