Silk Elements Megasilk Olive Heat Protection Spray Review

Currently my hair is natural, meaning, I have no chemicals put into my hair.  Even though my natural hair is naturally curly, I like to wear it straight, but in order for me to do this I have to blow dry and also flat iron it to achieve that straight look.

Blow drying and flat ironing my hair can be very damaging, so I needed a good hair protection spray to avoid heat damage (heat damage is when your natural curl pattern doesn't revert back to its natural curl after hair has been straighten).  My hair now has some heat damage because I didn't know I needed to use a heat protection spray when using any type of heat on my hair.  Ugh...lesson learned!



So one day I took a trip to Sally's and found a protection spray called Silk Elements Megasilk Olive Heat Protection Spray.  I've read that Silk Elements Megasilk Olive Heat Protection Spray is formulated with Olive Oil and Silk Protein which helps protect the hair from damage caused by heated appliances. Leaves hair soft and silky while providing a luxurious shine. Use with flat irons, blow dryers or any heat styling tool. I thought this would be the prefect product for me, so I bought it.

First I shampooed, conditioned, and deep conditioned my hair.  After that, I sprayed Silk Elements Megasilk Olive Heat Protection Spray all over my hair except for my roots.  The protection spray goes on oily but after blow drying my hair, my hair was soft and not oily, and my hair didn't feel all dry. 

After using the blow dryer to dry my hair, I put more of the protection spray on sections of my hair I was about to flat iron.  So when I get a small section of my hair, I spray it with the protection spray and then flat iron it.  My hair after being flat ironed and using the protection spray was so silky smooth!  My hair was so silky and soft that people were so surprise when I tell them that my hair is natural, not relax!

After using Silk Elements Megasilk Olive Heat Protection Spray, my hair stays silky smooth until my next wash which is every week.  This product is definitely a keeper!
