I sure have been paying the price with my skin due to my hectic schedule. Work, blogging, traveling, events, home life, and my sleep is really lacking badly. I tell myself I'll sleep when I'm dead but when I'm walking around I look tired around my eyes and under my makeup I'm starting to develop dark circles around my eyes.
I'm happy that The SMB Essentials Team contacted me to try out their Lotus Moon Hydro- Therapy Eye Serum to help with eye puffiness and it helps with aging around my eyes too.
What is important is that I need to get more sleep, it is really important to my health and well being, which I'm working on that now. This eye treatment is also helping me getting my eyes back into shape.
I love the fact that the Lotus Moon Hydro-Therapy Eye Serum is 100% all natural, vegan, and gluten free. The beginning of the year I was really working hard at getting healthy, using natural skincare products, and eating healthy but I fell off and returned to my bad habits- hey I'm human!

What are the benefits?
√ instantly soothes, calms, and reduces puffiness on contact. How does it work?
Using gentle pressure, roll under each eye from inner corner to outer corner twice. Apply morning, night and as needed throughout the day.- Jojoba oil - heals and softens skin; reduces transepidermal water loss providing the skin with suppleness and softness; mimics collagen, one of the best oils for providing a barrier to water loss on the skin.
- Shea Butter – protects the skin from dehydration, restores suppleness, improves appearance of irritated dry skin, increases moisturization.
- Caffeine – stimulant circulation helping to bring oxygen to the surface of the skin.
- Lecithin – emollient, antioxidant; attracts water and acts as a moisturizer.
- Butcherbroom Extract - inhibit inflammation and tone vein walls; assists in microcirculation.
- Hyaluronic Acid – has the ability to retain water which gives immediate smoothness to rough skin surface and significantly improves skin appearance. When applied to the skin it forms a “film” in a manner similar to the way it holds water in the dermal connective tissues, suggesting that hyaluronic acid makes an ideal moisturizing base, allowing for the delivery of other agents to the skin.
- Horse Chestnut Extract – Its tannic acid content provides the ability to strengthen capillaries, stimulate circulation and normalize circulatory disorders.
- Licorice Root Extract - powerful skin lightening properties.
- Vitamin E – antioxidant and free radical scavenger, helps protect cellular membrane from free radical damage; improves the skin’s water binding ability; improves appearance of dry and damaged skin.

My Review
First things first, I took a sniff of the eye serum and it had a perfume type smell that wasn't really overpowering or bothersome. It's in a small tube that reminds me of a perfume tube with a roller ball that you roll the serum on your eyes. I used this product for about a month before I written this review.
At night, I remove my makeup off my face as usual and then apply the eye treatment over my eyes before I head to bed. The eye treatment feels very cold on my eyelids like it has been in the refrigerator but I actually like the coldness and it really helps cool my tired eyes.
After using the eye treatment each night my eyes feels so refresh and alert when I wake up in the mornings. Now, my dark circles hasn't fully gone away but that could be because I need to get more sleep and eat a healthier diet.
The reason why I didn't use the eye treatment in the mornings as well is because I didn't want to put makeup on top of it to avoid making my eyelids look oily and I didn't want any irritation just in case.
Is Lotus Moon Hydro-Therapy Eye Serum Worth a Try?
I love this product! It goes to show you don't need all those harmful ingredients for a product to work. Although the eye serum is expensive, I think it is worth it.
Lotus Moon has more than just facial products, they also have organic body and hair care products. Lotus Moon has a philosophy of using fresh ingredients to help you feel good (they operate on the belief of they can be good, by doing good, while looking good). They use effective products without synthetic fragrances, artificial colors or harmful preservatives.
This sounds like a great product. Luckily, I don't experience puffy eyes despite the fact that I hardly sleep. I will check their site out though to see what other products they have available. They sound like a really good brand.
ReplyDeleteI think you'll enjoy their products Victoria, definitely check them out!
DeleteThis sounds great! I really need something to get rid of the fine lines under my eyes since I sleep on my face every night! I've tried other cooling eye gels and I like that this one is organic. When I'm looking for a new eye product, maybe I'll give this one a go!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great product. My eyes have been getting dark underneath them too. I try to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep, but lately it's been more like 6.
ReplyDeleteMy under eye area is a bit darker (guessing at this age that is the norm) but it also seems a bit sunken in. Great product review!
ReplyDeleteI have used an eye product with the roller ball before, but I've never heard of lotus moon. I like that it's vegan and free of all the harmful chemicals. I don't have the puffiness, but I do have dark circles when I go without sleep. I'll have to look into this. Great review!
ReplyDeleteI haven't experienced puffy eyes yet, but I love that Lotus Moon is an allergy-safe, green product.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great review - I love the idea of a roll on application! I also love the gentle ingredients - I wouldnt be scared to wear it like I am with other brands!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review, I will have to check this brand out. I rarely suffer from puffy eyes but wish I had something for the early morning road trips.
ReplyDeleteI definitely deal with dark circles and this sounds like a good product to try out. I wonder if it would work better for me in the morning since I don't wear foundation.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great! I'm a huge fan of natural product and agree with you - a product doesn't need all the harmful stuff to work!
