This past weekend if you follow along on my
Instagram you
would’ve seen some of the fun adventures my girls and I got into.
As some of you may know my girls are in a
kids club called
Kidgits at their local mall that has different kid’s
activities throughout the year for only $5 a year.
I really love this program because there is different stuff
for kids to do each month and for only $5 a year per child is such a great
deal!
Last weekend activity was
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny which the girls got breakfast like an egg sandwich,
muffins, and juice for free.
For the
parents they had to pay $5 and it included coffee for them but I opted to go to
Starbucks to get my Green Tea Frappuccino.
The girls and I enjoyed our meals; they did some arts and
crafts, and listened to a lady reading Easter Bunny stories.
Since my girls are getting older and suspecting if the
Easter bunny is even real, I’m not for sure how long we will be attending this
event. They’ll probably start thinking
it is uncool, but hey I enjoy it and love seeing all the precious smiles on
children’s faces.
Are you wondering how I got to see this movie 2 weeks before
release?
Now this wasn’t a blogger
invite, I use a website called
Gofobo.com, a site to sign up to see advance
movie screenings in your local area for free.
When we arrived at the movies I was shocked to see how many
people uses this website to see advance screenings and the theater was
completely full! Security was tight to
make sure there weren’t any illegal recordings during the movie. You’re not allowed to have your cell phone
out at all while the movie is playing. Good thing they weren't checking bags and purses because I had my Nikon camera with me and I didn't want them to think I was there to snap photos from the movie or record it.
I won’t spoil the movie for you but the movie was really
good and kept my focus the whole time.
I also found myself tearing up towards the end so keep a tissue
handy.
The movie has a great plot about friendship.
I thought Rihanna did a great job playing her character.
It is great seeing her letting her inner
child out instead of the raunchy stuff we normally see from her.
Looks like her year is off to a great start
because now she is in a movie, on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar US and China
magazine, also on the Cover of W Korea, plus she is in the hit song
Four FiveSeconds with Kayne West and Paul McCartney.
She is really doing her thang!
After the movie, the girls and I did some spring clothes
shopping since the weather in Atlanta has been warm lately and before
our move to our new house I’ve gotten rid of almost all their spring and summer clothes
from last year.
I went to
The Children’s Place for their clothes since that store always has great deals going on and
plus I came prepared with a 20% off coupon along with a $20 rewards certificate
I’ve earned through their rewards point program.
I did a little shopping for myself as well at
Old Navy but
didn’t do very well with savings since I didn’t have any coupons.
Have you started your spring clothes shopping yet?
You do know where to search for the best deals - brava mama! Girls looking cute as ever! Happy St. Patty's Day my dear - may the luck of the Irish be with you or something like that...
ReplyDeleteI sure do sis! I make sure I'm saving my money! I hope you had a fun St. Patty's Day!
