I was loaned the 2015 Kia Sedona for 7 days to try out and review. All opinions are my own.
Hey yall!
Did you see
my post on
Instagram of the
2015 Kia Sedona SX-L van that I driven for my
road trip to
Memphis?
Let me just say this, I’m really eating my words right now.
I've told people...
"You would never catch me
driving a van."
"I’m no soccer mom, so why would I drive a van?"
"I’m too cool for vans."
Well look at me now, this 7 seat Kia Sedona van is making
me want to trade in my current SUV- seriously!
I never knew a van could be so awesome and luxurious.
This van had a
very hip look along with
amazing features inside.
There is so much
in this van it’s overwhelming, I needed more than a week to really familiarize
and play with all the features it had.
What I love most about this van besides the overall look of
it is the safety features.
The Kia
Sedona has a 360 degree camera so you can see (bird’s eye-view) on the in dash screen
outside surroundings in front, side, and also back.
Since I’m not use to driving vans this feature came in handy for me.
I would hate to bump into something since I’m
not use to driving bigger vehicles.
The van also tells you if you’re not maintaining lanes which
it seems to be telling me this a lot while I’m driving, looks like my driving
skills is in need of some improvement.
Another good thing is the Kia Sedona knows when a car in front of you is
slowing down or is at a stop so if you’re not slowing down or stopping as well
the van will slow down and stops for you.
This van is way too smart, it is like it's a smart van!
The back power lift gate was another feature favorite. When I have my keyless remote on me and I’m
standing close, the smart power lift gate automatically opens without any hands
or feet; this feature is prefect when your hands are full like when we had all
our luggages ready to put into the van. If you're traveling at night there are lights in the back trunk to help you be able to see things. Also there is a hand held light you can carry around in the car if you need it like if you drop something under the seats.
Third row seating can be laid down for extra storage space but I kept them up because I just liked it that way.
My girls has favorite features too like the second row
seating is like sitting in lounge chairs; they can lay back and kick their feet
up while playing their video games.
Speaking of video games, my girls especially love the fact that there
are USB and 12V plug ports all over the van so they can keep their electronics
charged during the whole road trip. No
more complaining that their games and tablets are dead midway through our trip.
The girls has their own temperature control, so no more
complaining that they are too cold or too hot.
It’s summer time and the dual sunroof top comes in handy to
let the sun shine through so you can catch the sun rays. The girls can control theirs in the back and
I can control the one in the front, but of course there is a button up front to
control both sunroofs.
Another neat feature is the side sliding doors; if your gas
door is open you cannot open the sliding door to avoid damage.
The Kia Sedona has similar stuff like the
Kia Soul I reviewed last year like the navigation system, satellite radio, Bluetooth,
power steering, and a display screen behind the steering wheel.
I could go on and on about this van! Here is more information about the Kia

Fuel Economy: 19 MPG combined city/hwy (17 City) (22 Highway) It took one tank of gas to get from Atlanta to Memphis and the fill up cost me $60, not too bad.
MSRP Price: $43,295.00 A bit pricier than I would normally pay for a car, but this price is well worth it for this van with all the included features.
It was smooth sailing to and from Memphis and had heads
turning wondering what brand van we were in. My family from Memphis was very impressed by this van.
I must say that this van looks a lot like the Kia Soul from the front which
I think makes the van look trendy, especially having the chrome trimmings and
wheels. The bucket leather seats were
very comfortable and made me just want to relax and go for a ride in the van all day.
So if you’re thinking that vans are uncool, seriously think
again.
This van is prefect for any families large or small and is a great road trip
vehicle. My only cons would be that it takes a bit to pick up speed but that's to be expected with vans. Also if you're not use to driving bigger cars it can feel a bit harder to park but you'll get the hang of it after awhile.
Are you a fan of driving mini vans?
oh my goodness, with features like that I might consider going back to a 'mommy van" = great review and I love the camera and reclining seats. Next time...swing by and pick me up - seriously, I'll pay for the out of the way gas!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope to travel your way some day sis! Yes, this van will have you wanting to have a van. A hot ride for sure!
DeleteOh my what a great review. I love following you. This trip must have been so much funl Looks like I now like a Kia.

ReplyDeleteKia sure has! They are killing the game right now!
DeleteThis is from KIA? And It's a VAN? Wow, I actually kind of want one! I'm interested in the features about my driving. I wonder if it'd help me improve. Your makeup looks flawless, by the way!
ReplyDeleteThanks about my makeup Celeste! I turned the feature off about my driving after awhile because I was feeling embarrassed, lol! I hope DMV is not reading this!
DeleteGirl this minivan is HOT! My hubby and I have been looking at your pics like "We want one!"
ReplyDeleteYou and the hubby need to get this van. It'll be enough room for your whole family and your grandbaby.
DeleteOh wow, this is a great van. I love the safety features and the seats are super cool. I so need to get my license. #ProductReviewParty
ReplyDeleteYes, get that license girl so you can be driving these cool cars!
DeleteReally like the Kia brand .. the only thing missing for us a DVD players for our little one... she is only 1 year old so a DVD will be best... I guess this is a feature we can add... will definitely will look more into it. #ProductReviewParty
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing about the van not having a DVD player. Could be because of the dual sunroof.
Deletewow!looks like so comfortable and spacious!Hope you had a great time...
ReplyDeleteWe sure did, thanks Amila!
