COVERGIRL gifted me their latest mascara and eyeliner. All opinions are my own.
Hey yall! How has
your week been for ya? Are you ready for
this long weekend? I know I am! I’m looking forward to my almost 3 weeks of
vacation- yahoo!!!!!
Well anywho…a couple of weeks ago COVERGIRL’s PR company
contacted me saying they’ve been noticing my beauty game and it’s clear to them
that I’m a trendsetter among my friends- both social media and my blog. (That makes me feel special!)
If that is the case then COVERGIRL needs to be putting me in
their ad campaigns. How cool would that
be? COVERGIRL if you’re reading this
lets work together! :-D
The reason for their email is because they wanted me to be
one of the first to try out their newest eye-catching products that come out
July 15th: Super Sizer by LashBlast Mascara and Intensify Me! Liquid
Eyeliner by LashBlast.
When it comes to eye liners and mascara I usually only wear
on occasions like if I’m going to an event or date night. However, lately I have been skipping out a
lot on wearing mascara due to my eyes being very sensitive. When I wear mascara it usually make my vision
blurry. I do not wear false lashes at
all because I hate the heavy feeling and adding glue to my natural lashes,
which by the way can eventually pull out your natural lashes, so I just opt to
having my lashes naturally the way they look.
I thought it would be so cool to be able to get the exclusive
first look at their newest mascara and eyeliner so without hesitation I said
yes to their offer.
My package came in a matter of days and I was so geeked when
I opened up my package of goodies.
I
felt like during that moment I was a part of COVERGIRL’s elite member’s only
club since not every beauty guru get a chance to get beauty products not yet in
stores from them.
I don’t think
I’m really in the know when it comes to makeup; I just like to play in it and
see what looks good on me.
My Review
LashBlast Mascara- I love the light blue packaging. The packaging container style reminds me of
the other COVERGIRL’s mascaras. When I
do wear mascara, COVERGIRL is one of my go-to’s I like to use so I knew this
mascara wouldn’t disappoint me.
Looking at the brush of the LashBlast Mascara, I was wishing
the bristles were a bit longer.
I had to
apply several coats to get the desired length I wanted.
I didn't do what the package said since I didn't read it that I needed to twirl when I'm applying it. I bet my lashes wouldn't need that much coats. (Reading is fundamental) The good thing is my lashes didn’t have any
clumps and my lashes weren’t hard like if I touch them it would break into
pieces.
Intensify Me! Liquid Eyeliner by LashBlast- When it comes to eyeliner I cannot use a
brush, when I use a brush it looks so horrible since I really don’t know what I’m
doing and plus I’m too shaky. I like
eyeliners that are like pens that already have the liquid inside and it’s much
easier to apply to my eyelids.
The Intensify Me! Liquid Eyeliner had a flat head tip
instead of a point so you can create both skinny and thick lines very easily.
The black eyeliner color is very bold and
easy to apply on the lids.
No smudging,
no mess.
You can create so many
different looks with this eyeliner.
Here are my before and afters:
Before
COVERGIRL lovers be on the lookout for these two in
stores!
What is your favorite COVERGIRL beauty products?
I am loving both of these products. My lashes are my second favorite facial asset. I am in the market for a new eye liner so will be checking this out. I have been trying to master the smokey eye look for about a year, maybe this eyeliner can help me get it down pact. Your makeup turned out great as usual, have you ever thought about doing beauty tutorial videos? #ProductReviewParty
ReplyDeleteThanks Victoria! People are always wanting me to do tutorials but it takes so much of my time. I haven't done video yet and hopefully once I leave my job next year I'll have enough time to learn YouTube, video editing and start doing tutorials.
DeleteDoing a smoky eye takes a lot of practice. I'm still learning how to do it now.
I use Covergirl products. I esp like their mineral based foundation and lipstick. I love they way this captured your eyes. I need to check this product out soon. It looks like the brush is not that "brushy." I think I would like that more.
ReplyDeleteThanks Leigh! I never knew Covergirl had mineral based foundation. I wonder if they have it in a powder?
DeleteGot the same package, isn't it cool? You did a great job with applying your liner. But then again, you're a pro! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Stacie! I'm no pro, still learning how to use eye liner. So far, I'm only good at cat eyes.
DeleteYou got those eyes right! The color looks really rich and noticable. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Brandy!!!
DeleteThanks Suzie!
