You all are probably wondering, "This car looks awfully familiar." You're right because I drove the 2015 Mazda6 last year when we went to Savannah for Lauren's birthday. It was a great car then, and the 2016 Mazda6 is fantastic car now!
Check out what's new for 2016:
- New grille
- New foglight surround design for Grand Touring (standard)
- Upgraded center console, dashboard, and armrest design
- Added electronic parking brake
- Addition of MAZDA CONNECT Infotainment System with larger seven-inch full-color touchscreen display
- LED headlights for Touring (available) and Grand Touring (standard) models
- Available Active Driving Display
- New colors: Sonic Silver and Titanium Flash
First glance at this vehicle when it was dropped off at my doorstep I instantly knew that this was going to be a fun ride. The outer design is sleek, cool, sexy, vibrant, bold, all that good stuff!
Chrome trimmings throughout the outside and inside the car gives it such high style and grace. The grille makes the Mazda 6 look like it's giving you a smile, "Hey good lookin'!"
All black everything for the interior which gives the inside a sophisticated look. Mazda6 seating is very comfortable leather with enough leg room for my whole family. Speaking of roominess, the trunk is very spacious as well. Whenever I need more space, like when the big shopping season comes, I can let down the back seats for more added space.
With 184 horsepower at 5,700 rpm, the Mazda6 is incredibly fast! With the Sports power button, it gives the car more added power feeling like you're zoom zooming on a race track! But don't worry, the car drives very smooth that you don't realize you're speeding. Good thing I didn't get caught and I still have the badge of honor of no speeding tickets!
If you want to know how fast you're going there is an illuminating screen that pops up on your dashboard, behind the steering wheel. On the screen, it measures the distance between you and the car in front as well. The illuminating screen is a great feature to help you know if you're following the car in front of you too closely.
Remember I had a problem getting the navigation system to work in the 2015 model, but I'm happy to say it worked in this vehicle. Navigation was very easy to use along with all the other features like the satellite radio. I love how the touch screen display looks like a tablet, and the screen is much larger than last years model, goes well with the latest electronic trends ( It's not removable though).
Another great feature I think is impeccable is the i-ELOOP, a unique regenerative engine braking system that captures energy when you lift your foot off the accelerator. The stored energy is then used to power the car's electrical components—from the AC to the power steering—and in turn, improves real–world fuel efficiency by as much as 5 percent.
Mazda cars are always fantastic when it comes to safety, with blind spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning system, smart brake support with collision warning, and the rearview camera helps lower your chances of getting into an accident.
Wondering how much the 2016 Mazda 6 cost? The Mazda6 is an affordable vehicle with the starting price of $21,495. If you want all the luxury features, the total MSRP is $34,245.
2016 Mazda6 is a wonderful car for small families, singles, and sports car fanatics.
Atlanta had a vast improvement in the weather, so we were able to travel to different locations. However, I still had to work, and the girls had school, but during our schedule openings is when we went out and had some fun.
The girls had an event with their school at Chick-fil-A. They had to dress up in their costumes (Lauren is a witch and Michelle is a Monster High girl) to get a free ice cream and Chick-fil-A made donations to their school for each meal purchase. I love how Chick-fil-A does special events within the community. I'm so proud to be a part of their Chick-fil-A Mom Panel! For the next year, I'll be learning about new menu options, giving my input about their products, and so on.
My girls' daycare hosted a fall festival with face painting, games, foods, and desserts. My daughters played a big part in setting up the festival and enjoyed themselves by getting their face painted and winning as much candy as possible. Looks like they'll have piles of candy once they go trick-or-treating on Halloween.
Each year, it's my daughters and me tradition to visit Zoo Atlanta to attend their Boo at the Zoo event. Last year we arrived late and missed out on the Halloween festivities, but this year I made sure for us to wake up early to get there on time.
The zoo was decorated in Halloween decor, and spooky music was playing throughout different speakers in the trees. Star Wars troopers were everywhere; it was like they invaded the place! I guess they were there due to the new movie coming out this holiday in theaters. Will you be going to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens?
Looks like the storm trooper on the right is in need of some coffee, lol! |
There were characters that the younger crowd loved too.
Zoo Atlanta is a friendly Halloween event, so I didn't have to worry about my daughters getting scared, including myself. The girls got their bags filled with candy and granola bars, got temporary tattoos, listen in on some zookeepers talking about the different animals, visit their favorite petting zoo, and of course visit all the animals.
We were at the zoo for over 5 hours since we got there early, and it gave us a lot more time to explore the zoo and spend quality time together; I always cherish these moments, I wish they never get older.
We have a Mazda 3 and I love it, but I really want the Mazda 6 with all the sensors! And I love that it gets like 38 mpg for a sedan. So cool you got to try it.
ReplyDeleteMazda3 is a great sedan too. I know you will love the new Mazda6, if you're ever looking to upgrade definitely check out the Mazda6.
DeleteI've never had a Mazda but that's a cute car. The mileage is spectacular! Those features, i-ELOOP, blind spot navigation system, rear cross traffic alert and more are amazing!! It would take me a month to figure everything out...lol!!
ReplyDeleteBoo at the Zoo looks like so much fun. I love the birds and their colors.
Yeah, there is so much more features I didn't talk about. Yes, it would take me months to get use to all the features.
DeleteI always love going to the zoo and photographing the colorful birds. They let me get close, so I was able to get good pictures of them.
I can so picture you driving around listening to that song lol. Looks like you had fun at the Zoo. I've been there but that was years ago.
ReplyDeleteHehe!!! I stay ridin' around listening to old skool music.
Deletewow! This car is really HOT! :) Hope you had a great time with it.
ReplyDeleteKids look so lovely in these costumes and seems they enjoyed their time at the zoo...
Thanks Amila!
DeleteThat is one fly ride. Also, your girls costumes are too cute! #ProductReviewParty
ReplyDeleteWow, everything was good except that snake!!!! It's great that there are so many great places to take the girls in the ATL. Enjoy the weekend and that vehicle was the best yet.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Atlanta is filled with places to take the family. Never a dull moment.
DeleteHehe! That snake was scary! My girls wanted to pet her but the zookeeper said she just recently shed her skin, so it would hurt her.
ReplyDeleteThat goat seem like she was talking to us, and stayed with us the whole time.
Lovely post! So awesome that you got to test out the car and your girls are so cute!
