A Letter to My Girls

Hey Yall!  This post is a bit different than my usual posts on this blog.  I'm collaborating with other blogs to write a letter to our children.  This post is dedicated to my daughters.

My two lovely girls!  I'm filled with so much warmth and joy to be finally able to be at home more with you.  I drop you off at school each morning and pick you up after school getting to see your bright smiles every day.  I love hearing about your day and how much you appreciate me being able to do more with you both.

I remember how much you would cry out to me saying you hate that my job holds me back from things like me attending your school functions, and God has blessed us for me to participate at your school now.

My darling girls, I don't know what I would do without you.  You make me whole; you make me a better person, you make me a loving person.  Being your mother is the best in the world, and I wouldn't trade it for anything!

You've both been asking me about my mom, and it's sad to say that I don't have a relationship with her, but please know that I'll be always there for you, God willing.  Nothing will ever have me turn my back on you both.  I'll always be there when you need me, a shoulder to cry on, someone to talk to, I'm there!

Baby girls, right now you love hanging out with me, having fun times together, but promise me when you get older we can still spend quality time together.  I just don't want you both to think I'm uncool to hang out with anymore.  I would be heartbroken.

I'm so proud of the young ladies you are becoming!  Beautiful, intelligent, kind hearted, thoughtful girls.  God sure has blessed me with amazing daughters!

*Hugs and Kisses*

Love, Mom

Lou, your Letter to your girls brought tears to my eyes. Reminds me so much of my mom, me and my sister. We talk three way on the phone everyday because we don't always get to see each other. My mom is in South Carolina, I'm in Georgia, and my sister just moved to Nashville, TN. Mom is now 70 and can't drive long distance so my sister and I try to go see her a few times a year. Your girls are adorable, smart, and loving and I guarantee they will always be that way and will always want to spend time with you.

    1. Thanks girl! I hope you're having a better day now. Yes remember, when you're down, look at your family and you'll see what's really important in your life, and that will uplift you from any problems you may have.
