Hey Yall!  Mr. M and I started having day dates, having dates during the day.  Mr. M thought this up last week when we attended an event together and thought that each Monday him and I should go out together since the girls are at school, and he doesn't work Mondays.  So now I take off blogging Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays unless I have a post to work on and urgent emails to answer.

I'm glad he thought up this idea because I feel we don't spend enough alone time together although we do spend time at the gym in the mornings during the weekdays.

The best time to go on dates is during the day; fewer crowds, restaurants usually have lunch specials, and not a lot of people on the roads because they're at work.

So far on our day date, we visited Ponce City Market, the historic Sears, Roebuck & Co. building in Atlanta that was reinvented into Central Food Hall, various shops, flats and offices. We took a stroll at Buckhead Village District, which is similar to Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles with high-end stores, and we dine at Fuego Mundo, a South American Wood-Fire Grill located in Sandy Springs.

With us going on these dates during the day, it'll give me a chance to tour around Atlanta without all the commotion of people around.  We can get in and get out.  Day dates are the best!  Plus we can relax and enjoy each others company without having the girls with us.  We love our girls, but there are times we need one on one alone time without them.

Everyone, this entrepreneur life is so fantastic!   I can do what I want, and live how I want to live.  If I don't want to work, hey, I can do that.  No more living for the weekend to be able to get out and do things that I want.  I'm living life right now; every day is like a vacation to me.  I seriously feel like I'm living the retired life.

With both Mr. M and I entrepreneurs, it shows my girls that they can create the life they want to live too, they don't have to live the life that someone else tells them.

Even though I say that Atlanta doesn't feel like home to me, Atlanta is the place where dreams are created, a great place to start your business.  Everyone has that hustle mentality and grinding hard to make their dreams a reality.  Atlanta is the home of the go-getters.  I don't believe I would own my own business still living in California and neither would Mr. M; we were too busy in our comfort zones there.

Since Mondays will be our dedicated date day, I need your help.  If you know good places to visit in Atlanta, please let me know.  It can be food establishments, museums, festivals, parks, any place you think would be good to have a date during the day.

    1. Yep, a lot of things to do during the day. Janet, you should take off of work during the week and have a relaxing day exploring Atlanta. Going out during the week is so much better than being in congestion over the weekends.

  2. Yaassss love date days the hubs and I did them often and it was so quiet and not so packed we enjoyed it more. We use to go to brunch a lot downtown and I passed by that area last night on Ponce and started to stop over there but of course it was traffic with a capital T. I still don't like Atlanta but I am here lol

  4. My husband and I always go on day dates, because of his work schedule. But it is a lot better than going at night when it's busy. We usually even try to time our lunch after 1 pm, because by then the lunch crowd has died down.

    1. Yep, after 1 pm is the best time to go out to lunch. During that time, people are already back to work.

  5. I luv this idea! Great way to carve out time for you and the hubby. Piedmont Park is a great place to bring lunch and people watch or rent a bike and ride. What about an art class at one of the local community art centers or pottery painting?

    1. I never thought about art class or pottery painting, now that's the kind of stuff I like. I love art! Now Mr. M, I don't think he's into that kind of stuff.

      Thanks for the suggestions girl!

  7. Day dates are definitely well worth doing. Have you gone to the Coca-Cola Factory yet? I have heard that the Underground Shopping Center isn't there anymore?? If it's still there, that's definitely a place to go!

    2. Wow you're in Russia! How do you like living there?

    3. Hey Crystal,

We went to the World of Coca Cola before, but we're not soda drinkers so we don't go there often, maybe once a year.

The Underground is not what it's use to be. A lot of crime and close stores there.
