I was given these products free to give my honest opinions and share with my readers. |
Hey Yall! Guess what! I was chosen as a top beauty expert by Influesnter and L'Oreal Paris to try L'Oreal's latest products! Amazing huh? I never knew both companies were out scouting influencers to see who are the most influential when it comes to beauty products.
I wouldn't say I'm a beauty guru per se, but I love all things beauty, like hair care products and makeup. You can say, I'm a beauty product junkie, I'm always finding myself trying out the latest beauty product out on the market. You should see my bathroom, way too many beauty products stashed in there, I need to do some spring cleaning and get rid of a lot of it.
Check this out. Influenster contacted me saying that I was among 400 beauty influencers chosen to try L'Oreal Paris: Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil collection. I like L'Oreal, so I was down to try it, so I completed Influenster's shipping details form. A week later, L'Oreal's people contacted me wanting to include me in their database so they can ship their latest products that I'm the perfect candidate for.
Well y'all, both Influester, and L'Oreal sent me the haircare collection. Welp, the more, the merrier! I'll have enough haircare products to last me for awhile.
Also, L'Oreal sent me their True Match Lumi Cushion foundation and Re-Nourish Mask from their Extraordinary Oil hair collection as well.
When it comes to my hair care products, I generally buy brands found at grocery stores or Costco. At the moment, I'm using Dove Moisture Care shampoo and conditioner. Dove's hair care products have been doing quite well for my hair; my hair has been really enjoying Dove's shampoos and conditioners.
I've used L'Oreal hair products in the past. However, their products were just okay to me. I'm more into their makeup products like eyeliners, mascara, and blushes.
The L'Oreal Paris Advanced Hair Care System includes Nourish Shampoo, Nourish Conditioner, Transforming Oil-in-Cream Leave-in Conditioner, Lustrous Oil Serum, and Re-Nutrition Mask. These products enrich hair from root to tip and are perfect for all hair types. Also, these products are infused with vitamins and antioxidants, leaving hair soft and shiny.
Oils in products are Argan, Chamomile, Coconut, Amla, Soja, Sunflower.
My hair is naturally dry, so my hair needs all the nourishment and moisture it can get! Lately, I haven't been doing much with my hair since I exercise at the gym weekly. I put my hair in two french braids, tie it up in a scarf or head wrap, and call it a day.
Trying out these products gives me a reason to set my hair free and let it breathe new life.
Nourish Shampoo: Usually after I shampoo my hair it strips the natural oils, making my hair dry after I rinse off the shampoo, but not this one! This shampoo suds up nicely revealing soft, moisturized hair that I can run my fingers through without getting caught in it. Could be because of the oils in the shampoo.
Nourish Conditioner: I'm loving this conditioner! It has my curls poppin' and my hair oh so soft!
Re-Nutrition Mask (Curls): This mask is thick and deeply penetrates the hair. The texture is thick and creamy just the way I like it. This mask is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!!!! Had my curls more stretched out with hangage instead of shrinkage. I can comb my hair with ease, and do the bomb twist outs!
Transforming Oil-in-Cream Leave-in Conditioner: After I wash out the conditioner, I add this leave-in to my hair. This leave-in is thicker than the leave-ins I generally use, but I like it a lot. Blends into my hair and works well with my other styling products. Makes my hair feel so moisturized and nourished.
Lustrous Oil Serum: I use this while my hair is set and drying in my two strand twist for more added oil and shine. It helps to lock in the moisture as well. When I'm taking down my twist, I also add the oil serum to my hair again, so I don't have frizz.
The whole Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil collection has an exquisite fragrance that reminds me of a warm vanilla scent, like a musk perfume that is popular during the fall months. However, this kind of smell I like year around so I don't mind.
The packaging is upscale, and inviting to the eye. If I see it in stores, it will make me stop and take a look.
Overall, I love this new haircare collection! My hair came out so luscious, smooth, soft, with incredible shine! My curls were weightless with spring and bounce. L'Oreal did their thang with this collection!
The colors they sent me didn't match my skin tone, so I had to blend two colors together to get a better match.
I used the puff applicator and pressed down, then tap the foundation on my skin (now this is what you call a face beat, beating this foundation all over your face). The creamy foundation can be layered up for a fuller coverage, giving off a fresh, luminous finish.
I thought this foundation worked well, but I'm not into liquid or cream foundations anymore, I use mineral powders. True Match Lumi Cushion foundation had me feeling like I was wearing makeup, and I don't like that feeling. But I will say that the foundation is lightweight, even when building up the foundation for your skin. Also, it has all day staying power. I wasn't looking all shiny at the end of the day like I would with other liquid and cream makeup. I would recommend this if you're looking for a low-cost makeup with awesome smooth coverage.
Influesnter and L'Oreal, I'm honored you dubbed me as a top beauty expert! You got me over here feeling like I'm the go-to person for all things beauty! Thanks a bunch!
Congrats, Lou! I'm loving your curls =) I haven't tried these products by L'Oreal, but I bet I'd like them. I always need a good conditioner and oil for my hair and I keep hearing good things about Lumi Cushion. Influenster is pretty cool, too! Have a great day <3
ReplyDeleteI love this review! I think I'll try the L'Oreal Re-nutrition mask.
ReplyDeleteLou...you have beautiful curls. I may have to try these products this summer as the flat iron gonna be useless in Atlanta heat.
ReplyDeleteThe summer heat is so brutal to my hair here! My hair wouldn't last being flat iron during the summer.
DeleteVery good review. I have heard lots about the Lumi Cushion so it was good to read thorough review.

You lucky duck! That's an awesome contact to have. ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try out the L'Oreal hair care because I've been seeing it everywhere.
You should try it Stacie, I think you'd like it.
DeleteI wear a liquid and dry foundation but it has to be light otherwise I feel "clownish" - In addition to Avon, L'Oreal is my next go to for cosmetics, great review.
ReplyDeleteLOL at clownish!
DeleteI usually use Loreal hair care products. This is a great review and also great to see that you've selected to promote their products...
ReplyDeleteThanks Amila!
DeleteI am interested in trying that foundation you reviewed. I think I'm going to have to go out and get it #ProductReviewParty
ReplyDeleteI know you don't like powder foundations, so I think you'll like this.
DeleteHi Louidia!
ReplyDeleteI also got the opportunity to try the L'oreal extraordinary oil complex line, and I do love all of them. As you mentioned, the mask penetrates deeply and moisturizes my hair, the best part is that it does not weigh down my hair :)
L'Oreal sure does make some great haircare and beauty products. Best part, it's affordable!
DeleteCongrats! I enjoyed reading your review! ^_^
