I was so ecstatic to be rubbing elbows with some of Atlanta's well-known celebrities. Never have I been in one place with so many celebs. All this time living in Atlanta, it took becoming a blogger to meet stars in person. But hey, better late than never I guess.
I have a confession, I have never seen FINDING NEMO before, so I didn't know what to expect in the film besides fish trying to find Dory. I know, shameful, I'm probably one of the only person on this planet that never seen the first movie. My homework this summer, watch FINDING NEMO to check out how it all started.
And just wow, FINDING NEMO came out in theaters in 2003, my girls weren't even born yet, I was still living in California attending college. But the funny thing is, during that time I was working at a video store, so I could've watched FINDING NEMO for free. I guess during that period in my life all I cared about was making money for clothes shopping, paying for my college classes, making sure my hair was done monthly at the beauty salon, pretty much I wasn't into movies back then, even while working at a video store. I got into watching animated films after having kids.
About the Film: Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) is a wide-eyed, blue tang fish who suffers from memory loss every 10 seconds or so. The one thing she can remember is that she somehow became separated from her parents as a child. With help from her friends Nemo and Marlin, Dory embarks on an epic adventure to find them. Her journey brings her to the Marine Life Institute, a conservatory that houses diverse ocean species. Dory now knows that her family reunion will only happen if she can save mom and dad from captivity.
My thoughts about FINDING DORY, it's a super cute movie, something you would expect with Disney/Pixar. They stay amazing me. We enjoyed the movie from beginning to end, well done! I wonder what took them so long to make the sequel?
Make sure to see FINDING DORY with your family, comes to theaters June 17th. #FindingDory
I watched Ellen talk about the movie and found the concept to be a good one for kids. I will, however, not be watching the movie but am glad that you and the girls had a good time.
ReplyDeleteThank Sis! Yes, it's a good movie for kids and adults.
DeleteThey offered us to come but would only give two tickets since I can't just bring one child I decided not to come but it looks so fab. I can't wait to see the movie
ReplyDeleteYou must've been invited to the Atlantic Station screening. The screening I was invited to was a part of Keshia's event, and the whole family was invited. I wonder why you didn't get invited to the one I went to?
DeleteSounds exciting.Really great photos and moments.
ReplyDeleteI never watched all of Finding Nemo, but my son has the Golden Book of Finding Nemo so I've read the story a lot of times. I've been wondering if my kids would enjoy Finding Dora. I'm glad you guys enjoyed the movie. We will have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to go to something like this. ATL has all the best events! I'm thinking about going to see Dory with my gbaby.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you and the girls had a fun time! My MIL and younger boys really want to watch this one. I may have to take them one afternoon to escape the heat! :)
ReplyDeleteWe are going to see it tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it more than my kid!
