Hey Yall! The day before my trip to St. Croix, the girls and I were invited to attend Kid Talks presented by Mashable and American Family Insurance at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
The talk was about kid entrepreneurs who created their own businesses. They discuss how they got started and inspiring other kids that they too can be entrepreneurs.
I was a bit late to the event due to church and finishing up packing for our trip, so the girls and I missed the first part of it.
There were five featured speakers at the event:
Jaylen Bledsoe: Chairman & SEO of The Jaylen D. Bledsoe Global Group (Not Pictured)
Moziah Bridges: CEO of Mo's Bows
Amber Kelley: Healthy Kid Chef & Cooking Show Host
Asia Newson: Entrepreneur & Creator of Super Business Girl
Mikaila Ulmer: CEO & Founder of Me & The Bees Lemonade
The girls and I enjoyed listening in on the conversation. It had Lauren wanting to start a business too after seeing kids her age with their own business. Right now, she is still thinking about what she would like to do.
I recognized two of the speakers, Moziah from Mo's Bows because he was on the show Shark Tank, as well as Mikaila from Me & The Bees Lemonade. Incredible how the show helped bring their business to light! And wow, now the girls and I have met these two entrepreneurs who mentor and investor is Daymond John, we met him a few months ago!
Seeing these kids dreaming fearlessly goes to show that you can do anything you want to do, young or old. The skies the limit! If you have a passion, go for it and turn it into a business! I'm living proof of this. Blogging is my passion, and I left my job to blog full-time. I have my girls a part of my blogging journey so they can see that whatever they're passionate about they can turn it into a business. No one can stop them but themselves, so they have to believe in themselves and dream big!
What an inspiring group for young and old folks. This is something my kids would have loved to be at.
