Hey Yall! I didn't tell the girls they were receiving this box because I wanted it to be a surprise, plus they would have harassed me every day wondering when this special box is coming.
You see, my girls are very into the Kawaii culture, just like how I was when I was younger. Lauren, especially, she has me in stores buying Japanese anime toys, books, and candies to add to her collection and show off to her friends.
I knew about this box coming, but didn't want to ruin the surprise, so I played it off and was like, "Don't you got enough stuff in your collection?" "I'm not buying anything else that you don't need!"
You should have seen Lauren's face of disappointment, like if I told her one of her Kawaii toys were damaged or something. She holds great pride in her Japanese stuff; no one can touch her things without her monitoring you. Yes, she is that serious!
So, what is this box I speak of that I kept hidden from my daughters?
It's a monthly Kawaii Box from Tokyo called Yumetwins!
It centers around the "yume kawaii" culture which is a new kawaii movement recently emerged in Japan.
Yume kawaii isn't just the old school kawaii - it's a mixture of cuteness, fairytales and, importantly, a touch of darkness (yami)!
WHAT'S IN THE BOX
Each YumeTwins box is a surprise of 8-10 items ranging from adorable plushies and squishies, collectible keychains and figures, stationery and accessories.
All items are fully licensed merchandise from Japanese brands!
A couple of weeks back, the YumeTwins box came while the girls were in school, so I sat the box next to the front door, so when they walk in they would see the purple box that was filled with goodies for them.
When the girls got home, their faces was lit up with so much joy and shock, then they ask me, "Did you know about this mom?" LOL! Yep, I did, I been knowing about this box for about a month. *Evil Laugh*
The Kawaii Box was quickly opened revealing adorable, playful merchandise. Nothing but cuteness in this box, makes you get the puppy dog eyes and go, "Awww!"
Check out the items that came in the girls' care package:
Pompompurin Pen |
Airou and Merarou Towel |
Gudetama Limp Mascot |
Shinada Fluffy Animal Plush |
Neko Atsume Memo Pad |
Re-Ment Mare Sweets Mascot |
Amuse Alpacasso Plush |
Pompompurin Letter Set |
Super cute, right?
The girls chose who gets what, went to their room to be never seen again for the rest of the night. LOL! They were so fascinated by all their Kawaii goods, they couldn't wait to show their friends the next day!
I prefer this Kawaii box than going to stores here in the US buying Kawaii products; you get more for your money. Plus the items are authentic, coming straight from Japan. So it's the real deal!
Disclosure: We were provided these products free, as always, I give my honest feedback.
Ok, I DIE at all the cuteness! So kawaii!! I'd be tempted to get this for myself and I love how serious your daughter is about it lol great surprise! Have you heard of the beauty box from Yes Style? seems cool, too
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, my daughter will fall head over heels for this!
ReplyDeleteI understand why the girls were harassing you lol! So many cute little things to enjoy in this box.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I have ever heard of these. They must not be that popular here in Texas of my oldest daughter would be all over them. They are super cute!
ReplyDeleteThose boxes are so fun! Do your girls ever fight about who gets what?
