Hey Yall! How was your Mother's Day? Did you get to pamper yourself and relax?
Me, I told the girls and Mr. M I'm on strike and please don't ask me to do anything. They respected my wishes by cooking me breakfast and dinner, as well as letting get a nap in uninterrupted.
Now, I didn't entirely go the whole day not lifting a finger. Mr. M gave me a gift that I have been asking for, for months.
During some of my shopping trips to Costco, I run into Vitamix Reps displaying the hottest Vitamix blenders and preparing many different drinks and soups.
Watching the road show, I'm so amazed how well the Vitamix works, like how blending frozen fruits and vegetables to a smooth consistency takes about a minute. Easy to use and clean. Also, very powerful!
I be itching to take out my wallet every time, but that price would have me second guessing. I hate to buy something that cost the amount of a car note, and I end up disliking it.
So, what did I do?
I went to Target and purchased a cheap Black and Decker Blender. I shouldn't have done that because that blender was horrible! It would take 10 min or more just to blend ice.
What I did next is went to Mr. M, asking him to buy me a Vitamix.
He gave me that crazy look and told me, "I'm tired of buying you things you use for about a month then it's collecting dust!" 😡
Mr. M was right. I'm notorious for buying or getting things that I get bored with and stop using. But this Vitamix though, I got to have it!
I went to the girls and told them to tell their dad to buy it for me for Mother's Day, that's all I want. 😇
Whatever they said to him worked because I was gifted the Vitamix from Costco!!! YES! 🙌
I was like a kid on Christmas morning quickly opening my gift to try it out my latest toy.
I whipped up some smoothies for the family, and it was a hit! The best investment! Then back on strike I went. LOL!
Every day since I have been making smoothies, morning and night. And what a difference drinking smoothies had made me feel. I have more energy now, and it curves my appetite. I even lost a couple of pounds since I used smoothies as meal replacements.
One of my favorite smoothies I made so far is the green smoothie. It's a delicious drink made with fresh fruits and green vegetables.
The countdown to summer is coming fast, and this green smoothie is the perfect healthy summertime treat to help cool off. Not to mention, you'll be bursting with energy. Check out the recipe below:

This summer, Disney/Pixar’s “Cars 3” cruises into theaters on June 16, and the family and I will be racing to the theaters to see it!
When we were in LA during spring break, we went to Disney California Adventure Park and had a chance to go to Cars Land inspired by the Disney/Pixar film Cars. It was like stepping foot on the movie set in a desert setting. We didn't get to ride Cars ride due to the long wait time; hopefully next time we get to ride the attraction.
Before the film hits theaters, Juicy Juice has launch limited-edition “Cars 3” product with our favorite characters like Lightning McQueen, plus new characters like Cruz Ramirez, along with an exclusive on-pack promotion.
On shelves now, Juicy Juice “Cars 3” 100% juice will be available in 8-pack juice boxes in Apple, Berry, Fruit Punch and Grape, and multi-serve bottles in Apple, Berry, Fruit Punch, Cherry, Kiwi Strawberry and Strawberry Watermelon. Look for these specially-marked packs, find your code, go to juicyjuicegame.com and enter to win awesome prizes such as movie tickets, toys, and activity sheets. With Juicy Juice, everyone is a winner!
While we gear up for the new Cars 3 movie, we'll be sipping on our green smoothies, fueling on healthier meals, and chilling poolside.

I used to be into those green smoothies, but not so much now...I am however, trying to drink more water with lemon. #PRP
