Hey Yall! I hope you had a fabulous weekend and enjoyed the first days of fall. Fall here in Atlanta is still feeling like summer, but I can tell the mild weather will be here before we know it. Most likely the chilly days of autumn will hit us in the middle of October.
It was too gorgeous outside to hunker down at home, so the girls, Michelle's bestie, and I spent Saturday having a fun Girls-Day-Out.
The majority of our Saturday was spent visiting Center for Puppetry Arts to check out the charming classic tale Charlotte’s Web, puppet show.
It's been a long time since I've last read or seen the movie Charlotte's Web, so I have forgotten what the story was about, I get it confused with the story of the little pig Babe. I'm glad I went to see Charlotte's Web because it helped remind me of this beautiful story of friendship from the unlikeliest places.
The show was a packed house, not a single seat available. This puppet show was and is a must-see show here in Atlanta. We all laughed, smiled, and loudly applauded the excellent show! The puppeteers and production did an outstanding job bringing this storybook tale to life.

About Charlotte's Web at Center for Puppetry Arts:
The classic tale of Charlotte’s Web will spin to the Center for Puppetry Arts from September 19 – October 22 to share the triumph of friendship and the power of language with families. Complete with the barnyard’s most colorful residents including Templeton, Wilbur and of course, Charlotte, this show will have guests of all ages cheering, “Terrific, terrific, terrific!”
While there on Saturday, Center for Puppetry Arts had Jim Henson’s Birthday Extravaganza. The event consisted of special Henson-related museum activities as well as a celebration complete with bounce house, face painting, birthday cake, prize drawings and more!
Since the girls are older and thought they were too cool for the birthday activities, they went upstairs in the building to visit a classroom to create goose puppets. Didn't Michelle do a great job on her goose she calls Grace?
If you're in Atlanta area, you don't want to miss Charlotte's Web; it's an amazing show for anyone ages 4 and up. And while there, make sure to visit the puppetry museums.
Disclosure: I was provided media tickets to preview the show; all thoughts and opinions are my own. Post contains Amazon affiliate links.
Oh my gosh, that pig is so cute! My gbabies would love seeing this. I need to look for some local shows for them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun production and more communities need to do these kinds of events! I loved the book as a child and Michelle did a great job to with Grace!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like quite the show. I would love to take my boys to something like this.
