Hey Yall! Did you see the sophisticated, sexy vehicle I was driving last week? I didn't want to give it up because I fell head over heels for it. So much so, I came so close to trading in my car due to having new car fever. Getting back into my small Toyota Rav4 made me feel so low in the dumps. Funny how a luxury car can change your outlook and mood. It was like I felt like Cinderella when she had her glass slippers on when I was in this beautiful SUV, but once I had to give the car back, I felt like I was back to rags.
The luxurious beast with the massive chrome grille I was driving around town in during my routine of taking the girls to and from school, grocery shopping, and other fun stuff I did with Mr. M was the All-New 2017 Lexus GX 460 SUV.
It has been a minute since I've lasted reviewed a car and this classy SUV set it off right getting me back to what I love most, blogging about the latest new vehicles.
I was so excited to review this car because, for one, Toyota is my #1 favorite brand and my love for their luxury brand Lexus is just the same, if not better.
Both Toyota and Lexus offer the best SUV's, which are high quality, robust performance, and reliability, outstanding safety features with tons of amenities throughout their vehicles. Just getting into one of their SUVs, or any of their cars for that matter will have you ready to sign on the dotted line.
2017 Lexus GX 460 is the perfect car for adventurous families who enjoy being on the go seeking out off-road adventures. The SUV is made for towing. So, tow one of your big boy toys (boat) in the back for a fun day at the lake.
I have two growing girls who accumulate a lot of things; it's like they bring their whole room in my car, so the first thing I look for in an SUV is leg room and storage. The Lexus GX 460 had all the space I needed and then some. Lauren was able to get in and out of the car with ease while holding her flute case, backpack, books, and lunch bag.
And let me tell you about the looks on both of my girls' faces when I picked them up from school for the first time in this car.
First Michelle. The Lexus GX 460 was the biggest and baddest car in the school's car rider lane, had all the parents checking out my new ride wondering wow, what an upgrade from my last vehicle, I must be doing big things now!
Michelle came walking out the school; I waved her down, she spotted my face, and her whole mouth dropped memorized by the car's gorgeous looks.

Michelle: "Wow mom, this car looks amazing! It's huge!" Does it have a tv in it?"
Me: "This is the 2017 Lexus GX 460, Toyota's luxury brand. Sorry, no tv in it, but I'm sure there is an option to add it."
Even one of Michelle's classmates took notice of the Lexus, Michelle shares about it in the video below.
When it was time to pick up Lauren, same thing, all eyes on the hot pearly white SUV by the parent's in line to pick their child up.
I flagged Lauren down in the car rider lane, she spotted me and had the biggest grin on her face. She couldn't wait to hop in and check out all the cool features inside.
Mr. M was all googly-eyed too! The first thing he found inside the car was his favorite app, OpenTable on the Audio/navigation display screen. He uses that app for restaurant reservations.
Last week, Mr. M and I, while the girls were in school, had a Day Date using the OpenTable app to go in-town to stylish Buckhead making us fit in with all the upper-class trendy people who drive luxury cars there as well.
I can go on and on about this SUV; I'm obsessed with it! From the soft premium leather seats, real wood throughout, the quietness of the engine, smooth drive as if you're driving a cloud, fantastic surround sound makes you feel like you have an orchestra inside giving you a private concert.
This was the vehicle I needed during our recent trip to the Smoky Mountains.
With the size of this car, and it being a higher class, you'd think that this SUV would be complicated to learn all the features. I'm here to tell you that it's very user-friendly. I learned using the different functions almost immediately, pretty similar to the functions in Toyotas.

Even though I love every bit of this SUV, one essential functionality had me disappointed. It was the fuel economy.
Fuel economy rating is a 2 out of 10, and I believe it, the car drank the gas like water. With the fuel economy being 16 combined city/hwy, you'll find yourself at the gas station filling up the tank more than smaller SUV's. But with a big powerful engine like this GX 460, it's to be expected. And by the way, for better engine performance, Lexus prefers you use premium gas.
So, what does a classy SUV like this one cost you're wondering?
For this seven-seater, five-door luxurious SUV, fully loaded goes for $57,960.00.
Yes, it's up there in price, to be expected for a high-end SUV like this. But honestly, I thought the car would be worth more than this, especially with it being fully loaded. I thought the price would be in the $70k range. So, being the upper-class SUV that it is, it's on the affordable side.
Go to your local Lexus dealer or website to see all the options the GX 460 have to offer; I bet you'll be ready to whip out your wallet eager to join the high-society lifestyle!
As the saying goes, go big, or go home!
Disclosure: I was provided this vehicle free for a week to give my honest feedback.
Wow! What a beautiful and trendy vehicle, and I've fallen in love with the color. I like how roomy it is inside, and the way it opens in the back. Most SUV's open with the top up, so this was really nice. Way out of my price range at the moment, but a girl can dream, right? (lol) Great review and pics! Hugs...and Happy Friday! RO
ReplyDeleteGirl, I would have been all over this if I tested it! You guys look great in it. At first, I didn't like the new Lexus design on the smaller cars but the SUV is tight!
ReplyDeleteWow - hubby and I would be cruising down to Virginia in this baby and as modern as it is, I couldn't help but think about the station wagons of the 60's with the opening of the back door!
ReplyDeleteI've been a Lexus car owner for almost 20 years. This SUV is a monster, lol. I'm not sure I like the modern lines on this vehicle, Lexus is about elegance. You look like you were enjoying the vehicle. I'll be heading to the dealership in a few weeks for maintenance. I'll check it out.
