Hey Yall! If you haven't heard the news by now that Great Wolf Lodge is coming to LaGrange, Georgia, you must have been sleeping under a rock or something!
This is exciting news for Georgia having the first massive 500,000 square ft indoor water park with an entertainment center, restaurants, and hotel inside.
We need this because the nearest Great Wolf Lodge is a 4-hour drive north to North Carolina. Now, Georgia residents don't have to cross over the state line for a splashing good time with their family.
I was invited as media/press last week to take a hard hat tour of the new Great Wolf Lodge facility and learn of what to come as well as the current construction progress.
I'm further up north from Atlanta, so the drive for me going south of Interstate 85 was a little over an hour 1/2 without traffic, but if you're located in the Atlanta area, the trip should be about an hour without traffic.
Great Wolf Lodge is easily seen from the highway exit, and you can see that there is still some ways to go before the completion of the indoor water park resort. But the construction workers are hard at work getting the project completed before the start of summer break 2018.
I heard that there would be some differences between North Carolina and Georgia location, with Georgia being bigger and better. More amenities, dining options, even a section for guest 21 and up for a more adult experience.
Have you seen my review of Great Wolf Lodge in North Carolina and my dissatisfaction with the quality of foods there? I'm happy to learn that meals will be better prepared, farm to table style, with meats and produces coming from local farms. And of course, they have gluten-free meal options as well.

Will you be visiting the new Great Wolf Lodge Georgia location?
Looks like you had a blast - there is a location in Williamsburg that my cousin used to take her son to, we never had a chance when the boys were younger.
ReplyDeleteI've heard nothing but great things about Great Wolf Lodge. A few friends of mine have visited the location in N.C. and loved it. So excited to visit the new Georgia location when it opens.
