Hey Yall! Happy New Year! I'm so glad to be back blogging again, sharing details about the things I tried and did during my blogging hiatus.
As many of you know, my family and I do an Annual End/Beginning of the year trip. Vacation of choice this time around was the Historic City of St. Augustine, Florida. And we went road tripping there in the All-New 2018 Toyota Camry XLE.
This is not the first time the new 2018 Toyota Camry and I crossed paths. I had a brief encounter with this sporty sedan back in 2017 during a summer Toyota's Ride and Drive event. I did a drive around the city in it for about 30 minutes, and just by that short trip, I was pleased with the high performance.
No longer is Toyota Camry's look all feminine and soft, now the 2018's body style is beefier, masculine, with sharp exterior lines, all chromed out. It's appealing more for the adventurous family drivers who like to hit the road exploring new destinations. So, mainly, those families who want a step ahead of the smaller sedans, Toyota Corollas, with more space, features, and style.
As I mentioned before, Toyota is my #1 favorite car brand due to their reliable, long-lasting vehicles and high-class safety features. They have a line-up of cars that fit anyone's preference and budget.
This 2018 Camry did not disappoint! Smooth ride to and from St. Augustine!
Going to St. Augustine I had the Camry on Sports mode for a faster take off power down the highways and stopped for gas once when we reached to Jacksonville, Florida.
On our way back home, I had the Camry on ECO mode and didn't have to stop for gas at all! And ECO mode speed wasn't much different than in Sports mode. Impressive because from St. Augustine to my house it's 416 miles without stopping for gas and still have a bit of gas left over in the tank! (32 MPG, 28 City, 39 Highway)
I want to speak on more about 2018 Camry Safety features; it's what I liked best about this sedan, making me feel much more comfortable driving since I'm paranoid when it comes to driving due to my auto accident several years ago when someone hit me almost head-on.

1. Toyota Safety Sense-P: Pre-Collision System w/Pedestrian Detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert w/Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams.

You see, 2018 Camry Safety Features are 2nd to none! And I love the fact that the car also assists me when parking with it showing an image of the car while parking on the navigation screen. This is a feature I've wanted other vehicles I reviewed to have, instead of just a backup camera. There is a 360-degree, bird's eye view camera showing all around the car making parking much more manageable. No more parking too close to the car next to you, and now parking straight in the parking stall.

Let's talk about the inside, shall we!
The premium three tone, tan leather seating, is luxurious and comfortable. Driving for six hours, not once did my backside started hurting, or I needed to stop to stretch my legs. Even the girls in the back seat had enough legroom, comfy, and space for their small bags.
And this is a first I've seen, a car with a Qi-Compatible Wireless Smartphone Charging base. You know how we are with our cell phones, and having this feature is essential.
The weather was super cold in Florida, and to my surprise, the Camry alerted me to be careful of icy roads. I don't know what surprised me more, the icy road notification from the Camry or Florida being so cold that it was icing up there. 😂
And that sound system though! JBL speakers throughout the car had us jammin' to our favorite stations on satellite radio.
Now there was something I did not like about the Camry, and that was the navigation system. To use the navigation system, there is an app I had to download to my phone then connect to the car. That's an inconvenience to me. I like a navigation already programmed to the vehicle.
Time to get to the affordable pricing of this beautiful sedan!
Out the door with fully loaded features, the total price is $33,865.00! Wow, I expected this Camry to cost more due to all the top-notch features it has.
Are you in the market for a new vehicle? If so, make Toyota your next car choice. With so many generations of Toyota's still on the road today, you'll have a reliable car that will last you for years to come!
I love a fancy dashboard and this color is so vibrant! Excellent, detailed review.

I love the Bird's Eye Camera as it really helps when parking in a crowded driveway such as mine. I am glad that you had an opportunity to get away with the family for a nice vacation, too bad the weathers wasn't warm.
