Cure the Summertime Boredom at Six Flags Over Georgia

Summer break is in full swing right now for us!  The girls have been out of school for a couple of weeks now, and they've been having lots of fun with me, enjoying time visiting different places around town.  Camp Mommy is in full effect, and I'm making sure to keep them entertained all summer long, so they don't come down with the, "I'm Bored," syndrome.

I want them to unplug from their cell phones and electronics, and enjoy an uninterrupted summer.  Check out my list of summer break plans I have for them.

The first part of summer break, we went to MomoCon, then several days later came the thunderstorms which pretty much washed out the week, thanks to the hurricanes passing through Florida and then slid through Georgia.

But, once things dried up, and the sun came out to play, we headed out for some summertime fun at Six Flags Over Georgia.

Six Flags has become a family tradition for us, each summer we go to check out the new happenings there, also keep cool at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.

Six Flags opened up a new roller coaster ride called Twister Cyclone, which is located in front of the amusement park.  It's a smoother, sleeker wooden steel coaster ride with lots of twist and turns.  From what I heard, it's intense!

The Twister Cyclone use to be the original Georgia Cyclone wooden coaster that has been a stable at the park for years, I believe since the beginning of Six Flags Over Georgia!  But, I like the fact that the park blended old with new, keeping wooden frame structure, but now adding the metal twisted frames.

The girls and I didn't get on the ride because the way our stomachs are set up, we would have been tossing our breakfast and lunch!  And that's not cute!

But, the girls did go on some of their favorite rides before we hit up Hurricane Harbor which is free with admission at the park.  It was over 90 degrees last week, so we took full advantage to stay cool by getting in the cold pool.

Since I knew it was going to be hot last week I rented a cabana that is located by the wave pool, it gives the maximum amount of shade, ceiling fan, privacy, and a cabana boy at your leisure.  No need to leave the cabana when you want a bite to eat, you can order from your cabana and meal is delivered to you.

Four cold water bottles are available in the fridge inside the cabana, along with two water tube floats, table, two lounge chairs, two regular patio chairs, and a huge storage bin with a lock.

I did the standard cabana which seats up to six people for $150.  The cabana is available to you all day.

Cabana is excellent to have so you don't have to worry about if seating will be available, especially the ones under the umbrella shades, also you don't have to leave someone behind to watch your seating so it won't be taken.  Everyone can get up and go as they please if you want to go back to riding rides you can leave your stuff in the cabana without the need to rent a locker.

I think I'll be renting a cabana every time I visit Six Flags; it's great to have during these hot summer days.

Another summer down at Six Flags!  We can't wait to go back when it gets cooler this year!

  1. Ooh, I am feeling that cabana! I've been there years ago when the kids were little. Wish they had them then!
