Did you see 2018 Chevy Equinox FWD Premier 2.0T I was driving in the beautiful Smoky Mountains, TN, and driving around Atlanta in? Looks similar to the Chevy Traverse huh?
The Chevy Equinox is a bit smaller than the Traverse, without the third-row seating, but don't let the size fool you, it's still packing a lot of space. Also, Chevy didn't skip out on the features with the Equinox either; it has about the same amount of features as the Traverse too.
So, if you're looking for a smaller SUV that doesn't substitute with the features inside, an Equinox is what you need!
Below, I wanted to share with you some of the features and things that I admired about the 2018 Equinox.
1. The exterior style of the Equinox gives a sporty, expensive look. But shh..no one has to know that you didn't spend luxury prices. The massive front chrome grill gives off a smile letting you know you choose the right vehicle.
2. How much I saved on gas had me like wow, with the Equinox! During our road trip to The Smoky Mountains, once we got to our destination, there was still over half a tank of gas left. Mind you, driving from my home to the Smoky Mountains is a 3 1/2 drive! (25 MPG, 22 City/29 Highway)
3. A feature that helps saves gas is the auto shut off when the car is at a standstill at the light. So, instead of the car sitting there idling, the car shuts off. But don't worry, once you hit the gas the Equinox turns quickly back on and go immediately.
4. Have you ever let someone borrow your car, and once they return it you have to readjust your side mirrors? Equinox has buttons to save the settings of your side mirrors to your preference, so you don't have to keep manually adjusting them. Smart!
5. Cars nowadays have rearview cameras that alert you with a loud beeping noise when something like a car or person is behind you. The Equinox alerts you by your driver seat vibrating. The vibration helps me to quickly react to stop, look both ways and behind to make sure I'm in the clear.
6. The Equinox has rear seat reminder, so it'll let you know if you may have forgotten someone in the back seat, and if the second-row seat doors were accidentally left open with five audible chimes that will go off.
7. Ever wondered if you're following the car ahead of you too close? The Equinox has a green car icon that will pop up near your speedometer letting you know that you're a safe distance behind the car in front of you. If you're following too close, the car icon will turn red.
8. Onstar service is an incredible feature that needs to be in every single car today. It's like having an emergency assistant at a push of a button. For example, if you have a flat tire, or was in an accident, you can push the Onstar button, and a live person will speak to you through the intercom assisting you with your needs.
9. 2018 Equinox Turbo has a lot of power! I put the power to the test when going up high inclined mountains, and the Equinox took it like a champ! No need to hit the gas peddle hard when I was driving upwards, and going downwards the handling was excellent too. There was a car behind me that was a Honda sedan that was struggling to get up the mountain. All I could do is shake my head at them. They should have had a Chevy! Chevy's are built to drive on and off roads.
10. The price! You get a lot for your money with the Equinox with total vehicle price being $36,885.00! It's like starter car prices with added luxury features. You can't beat that!
Another Chevy vehicle that was hard to part ways with! With so many amazing features inside, what will Chevy think of next?
