(UPDATE) Candytopia returned to Atlanta! If you missed out, you have another chance again!!!
You walk inside, and it's so wackily fun, it's like stepping into a modern-day Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory. Candytopia features more than one dozen rooms with exciting interactive art installations and full sensory experiences. The marshmallowy mini-theme park launched in 2018 in Santa Monica and just wrapped two successful runs in San Francisco near Union Square and New York in Midtown Manhattan.
Throughout the sweet candy tour, we had different guides guiding us through the rooms, and we were allowed to touch and take selfies with all the sculptures made of real candy! And no, these sculptures cannot be eaten, but there is massive buckets of candy in each room for the taking, so have your take home bags ready.
This place is so twisted, with each room getting weirder and weirder, but in a good way! It's like Lisa Frank threw up all these colorful messes of pigs farting out confetti, unicorns dabbing, booming music playing loudly in every room. Definitely, a sight to see!
We got to meet famed global candy artist, Jackie Sorkin who created these candy work of art, along with her team! You can also see her on The Food Network, Cupcake Wars, and Netflix's Sugar Rush. Each candy sculptures took her hours to make, and there are labels next to each one saying how many pieces of candy, and what candy was used, plus how many hours it took to create the sugary sweet masterpieces.
Candytopia Atlanta features the most popular attractions from its previous locations along with new Atlanta-inspired elements unique to this location that will thrill locals and travelers alike.
Candytopia Atlanta has a swimming pool full of more than half a million foam marshmallows along with Kraft Jet-Puffed marshmallow samples; an underwater-themed wonderland filled with fantastical candy covered sea creatures; a rainbow-filled room with flying unicorn pigs, confetti explosions galore and Trolli Twisted Sour Brite gummy samples.
New to this location, unique Atlanta elements include a portrait of some our favorite Real Housewives of Atlanta, a candy masterpiece paying tribute to Ray Charles, a giant candy-coated juicy Georgia peach and many more sweet surprises.
