Mall of Georgia Play Area Grand Opening Recap

Over the weekend, the girls finished up their back to school shopping at our local mall, Mall of Georgia.  The finishing touches that they needed were getting their hair done at JCPenney Salon.

While I was waiting for the girls to get beautified, I was invited to attend the grand opening party of Mall of Georgia's new, colorful, interactive playground. It's complete with a crawl path, cozy cocoon corner, jungle walk with moving pods, spring-loaded mushrooms and more.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, activities included a balloon drop; photo opportunities with Wonder Woman, Black Panther, and Captain America; face painting; balloon twisting; a superhero-themed photo booth; and music.

The crowds were huge with excited children and parents eager to get first dibs on the playground.  It seems like the whole community of Buford came for this event.  The first 300 children in attendance received awesome goody bags and superhero capes.

It brings me so much joy seeing all the children play, laugh, without a care in the world; enjoying their innocent years.  It brings back memories when my daughters were young like these children having a grand time playing at the mall's playground area.  I missed those days when my daughters were young.  Time flies fast, cherish every moment y'all.

The newest play area wasn't the only place celebrating a grand opening.  Kokee Tea, a curated drink and dessert shop with specialty beverages and treats such as bubble tea, ice blends, pastries gave the first 200 guests a free beverage of their choice.

The other grand opening was RePlay Video Arcade, a gaming place bringing a blast from the past with pinball machines and a variety of rotating games from previous decades, including both old-world gaming and high-end technology. Players will be able to buy time, and each game will be set to "free play," allowing gamers to play without worrying about repaying after each match.

As you can see, a lot was going on at Mall of Georgia.  If you're in the Gwinnett County area, make sure to check out these latest additions.

I hope you all had a colorful weekend like I did!
