My family and I stopped for breakfast at a charming bight red barn-looking restaurant, Frizzle Chicken Farmhouse Cafe. This family-oriented venue with 100+ singing animatronic chickens serves hearty American dishes like yummy signature breakfasts and tasty lunch.
When you first walk in, you immediately notice the animatronic chickens that cluck, move their heads and wings, and also sing and dance every 30 minutes. I never saw anything like this, it's fun entertainment while enjoying your meal. Also, you get a kick from the names of the chickens inspired by celebrities with a chicken-saying twist, my favorite was Oprah Henfrey.
You'll see guests walking around the restaurants with their cameras and cell phones out recording these playful chickens. And while you wait for your food, you can color white wooden eggs for free and take it with you home.
And food! There is a lot to choose from for whatever you're craving. Frizzle Chicken Farmhouse Cafe serves up pancakes, pan-fried egg dishes, french toasts, omelets, waffles, biscuits, kids breakfast, and lunch. Check out what we had for breakfast:
Our meals came out hot and fresh, large portions that were delicious to the last bite.
The superb service alone will make you want to return again and again. I love how the waitstaff is dressed in overalls and checkered shirts that go well with the theme of the farmhouse look.
Food so good, we came back for seconds the next day. Plus, we couldn't get enough of watching those chickens singing and dancing. They look so much like Jim Henson puppets.
Great food, fun atmosphere, Frizzle Chicken Farmhouse Cafe is a must-visit when vacationing in Pigeon Forge!
