Saying Goodbye to 35 and Hello 36

Another year around the sun!  Happy Birthday to Me!  Yesterday I said my goodbyes to 35, and today I say hello 36!  I'm quickly inching forward to that 40 mark, and I just want time to slow it down a bit.  My 40's is when a new phase of my life will begin like my girls becoming adults, and I'm still not ready for that.  What will I do with myself?

With me getting older, I noticed little things brings me joy in my life, for instance, kicking my feet up and binge-watch shows and movies at home.  Going for walks to clear my mind and enjoy the scenery around me.  Visiting local restaurants and coffee shops brings me at peace.  It's like, I'm enjoying the slower pace in life.  Honestly, I feel like I'm retired.

I use to be always up and moving, but I rather be relaxing while soaking in the moment.

Also, my priorities started changing, as well.  I tell myself often when I shop, is that item(s) a need or a want.  I have too many things at home that I barely even use or wear, and I'm trying to minimize that stuff I have.  But with it being my birthday, I may pick up some birthday freebies.

Another thing I notice being in my late 30's, eye wrinkles.  Ugh!  Looks like I'll need to start using eye cream.  Ha!  Thank goodness for no gray hairs yet.

I'm thankful that I'm in good health, being able to keep up with my girls, and enjoying family life.

My family wants to do something for me for my birthday, but I told them, I have what I want and that is them.  They make my birthday complete, and no material thing can top that.  But knowing them, they'll drag me to lunch or dinner.

Also, my family and I are celebrating my birthday in a big way, with a trip to my favorite family destination.  Stay tuned!  Last year we went to Point Clear, Alabama, remember that?

I'm looking forward to what year 36 has in store for me!  Bring it!

Thank you y'all for the birthday love, I truly appreciate it! 🧡
