Cadillac vehicles have been around for years dating back on August 22, 1902, when the first Cadillac car was founded. Cadillac is among the first automotive brands in the world (America's premier luxury car), having a massive loyal fan base.
I bet you while growing up, you knew someone with a Cadillac. I did! My grandfather owned a couple of Cadillac cars and would pamper them like babies. I remember when I was a little girl, my grandfather would drive me around town in his Cadillac while he would do his errands. Such great memories I had being with my Pops in his prize procession, his big box Cadillac.
While growing up around the Cadillac brand, I assumed that their vehicles were mainly for older people, I dubbed them, "The Retirement Car," because I would only see grandparents drive around in them.
Right now, I'm eating my words. For the past two weeks, I had the pleasure of driving in the 2020 Cadillac XT4 FWD Premium Luxury, and the compact SUV suited my style, making me feel grand, sophisticated while sitting in the lap of luxury. The Cadillac XT4 didn't have me feeling like I'm now a member of AARP; I felt as if I'm the coolest chick in town while driving the hottest car on the road.
I showed off pictures of the 2020 Cadillac XT4 on social media, and people were raving about how nice the brightly silver SUV looks. Even my friend told me she just purchased one herself, and the XT5 model. She told me that her husband thinks that Cadillacs are better than Lexus vehicles. Now that's a bold statement! With a statement like that, I couldn't wait to take the XT4 on our road trip to Orlando to see if it lives up to the hype my friend said.
The first thing that made me enjoy my drive in the Cadillac is the simplicity of it. I have never driven a Cadillac before this one, and driving plus using all the features inside was a breeze. I knew then that this car is the perfect ride for me, even if it's the smallest SUV in the series.
Here are the Top Five Things I Loved About the 2020 Cadillac XT4:
1. Safety: Cadillac puts their consumers first, making sure they are safe when driving their vehicles. Some of their safety and security features are:
- Automatic Emergency Braking
- Front Pedestrian Braking
- Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert
- Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
- Safety Alert Seat
- HD Rear Vision Camera
- Front and Rear Park Assist
- Forward Collision Alert
- Following Distance Indicator
- OnStar
2. Smooth Powerful Performance: The drive on the road is smooth like butter, with a bit of ruggedness to it when you step hard on the gas. The Cadillac XT4 has a powerful performance that will blow you away (turbocharged engine with 258 lb-ft of torque and 237 hp)! It's like an almighty vehicle!
4. Convenience: When you're on a road trip, making sure your electronics stay fully charged and connected is a must. The 2020 Cadillac XT4 has plenty of plug outlets all around, and even having Wifi. Also, the SUV has Apple Carplay and Android Capability.
5. Fuel Economy: During our drive to and from Orlando, we only gas up once each way. From Atlanta to Orlando is over 450 miles, so only making a stop once to fuel up each way is outstanding! Less time at the pumps means more money in your pockets and more time on the road. (26 MPG, 24 City, and 30 Highway) Also, I do like to mention that this vehicle requires premium gas only.
You see, the 2020 Cadillac XT4 is a gorgeous SUV, and is such a joy to drive during our road trip. We had plenty of admirers staring at the car, wishing they had this SUV as their own. Hey, even I wish the XT4 was mine as well, making it hard for me handing the keys back after my time was up with it.
The starting price for the 2020 Cadillac XT4 is $35,695, and the price for Premium Luxury is $45,360.00. For all that you get with this vehicle, the price is well worth it!
