It's that time of the year again, back to school! On top of my to-do list is getting Lauren's yearly eye exam, and get her a pair of blue light glasses at MyEyeDr.
This school year is a bit different since she is starting the year doing digital learning. Eye health is a top priority, and with Lauren viewing digital devices all day, that will cause her eye strain, further damaging her eyes, giving her headaches, and feeling fatigued.
My daughters aren't too thrilled about digital learning because they want to see their friends again, plus Lauren wants to experience her first time entering high school. But, safety first, and hopefully, their schools will resume in-person soon.
When we first arrived at MyEyeDr., we were greeted outside by one of the staff, making sure we had on our masks, and then we had our temperatures checked. Everything was good to go, so Lauren was able to continue with her appointment.
Every location follows a strict COVID-19 protocol; appointment only, not more than two patients at a time in the office, PPEs on staff, temperature checks upon arrival, and additional disinfection.
During Lauren's eye exam, the doctor discovered that she needed a stronger prescription because she is near-sighted and has astigmatism. And with her new blue light glasses, she'll see clearly and at a far distance. Plus, her eyes won't become irritated from viewing her computer and cell phone during long hours of usage. These glasses can be worn all day like regular seeing glasses.
I have spoken about how digital blue light can strain your eyes with prolonged screen time and prematurely age your skin as well before, so it's vital to get blue light glasses as well as skincare products to help reduce this issue.
Check out the glasses Lauren has chosen! Isn't it so cute? Fits her style perfectly! There were many frames to choose from, and these were Lauren's first pick, clear frames that will go well with her outfits. Stylish while protecting her eyes.
