Easy DIY Pumpkin Face Scrub with Ingredients you Have at Home


Pumpkin! Pumpkin! Pumpkin! My goodness, it's EVERYWHERE! Have you noticed it? Pumpkin recipes, pumpkin drinks, pumpkin scents, it's like everywhere I turn, I see something inspired by pumpkins. When pumpkins start rolling in, you know that the autumn season is here.

Pumpkins are a nutritious squash rich with vitamins, high on antioxidative, boosting your immunity, and contain compounds that nourish your skin.

The rich vitamins and nutrients can do wonders for brightening your skin, and just by adding raw sugar and other natural ingredients in your kitchen cabinets, you can create the perfect face scrub.

Pumpkins are more than just a popular fruit during fall and Halloween; it has many uses throughout the year.

Below is an easy DIY face scrub that will have your skin smooth and glowing.


Easy DIY Pumpkin Face Scrub


Ingredients:

  • 1 can pureed pumpkin
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup of raw sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon olive oil

Directions:

Mix pureed pumpkin in a bowl. Stir in yogurt, honey, sugar, and olive oil. Wash your face in warm water, and while your face is moist, apply the scrub using your hands in a circular motion. Massage the mask into your face for 10 minutes and remove it with warm water and a washcloth.

Also, this pumpkin face scrub makes a great foot scrub as well.

  1. How long does this keep? I make my own sigar scrubs but I typically use essential oils.

      It should last at least a week if you put it in the fridge.

    Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe. This is a great DIY foot scrub for homeschooling moms who at times don't even get time to visit the salon. One quick question though, in case the store is out of canned pumpkin puree, do I boil the pumpkin before mashing it or just turn raw pumpkin into puree.
