Ready to tackle anything, the 2020 Toyota 4Runner Venture is an exciting ride for anyone wanting an adventurous SUV.
I enjoyed taking this robust vehicle for a spin during Lauren's 15th birthday celebration in Florida. The rugged 4Runner will have you wanting to take roads less traveled, exploring new destinations.
Although the 2020 Toyota 4Runner Venture may seem like a vehicle for the outdoorsy type, it's also the perfect car for families who need a lot of space. It seated my family of four (seats up to 5 people), with legroom and storage all around, including storage on the top roof rack.
So what makes this special edition 4Runner unique from the rest? Here is what the 2020 Toyota 4Runner Venture comes with:
- Standard Yakima Megawarrior Rack and Roof Rack Crossbars
- Features Gunmetal-Colored 17-inch TRD Wheels
- Black Outer Mirrors, Door Handles, Rear Spoiler and Badges
- New 2020 Multimedia System Includes 8-inch Touchscreen and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa Compatibility
- Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P) Now Standard on all 2020 4Runners
- All-Weather Floor Liners
There are many things I loved about this massive SUV and some stuff that needs improvement. Let me share my Pros and Cons:
Pros
1. Powerful Stylish Exterior- When the 4Runner arrived at my doorstep, the first thing I noticed was the beautiful styling. It's a car that stands out with attitude. Its muscular physique did intimidate me, thinking I couldn't handle it; however, I managed. And the Yakima Megawarrior Rack gave the SUV the perfect touch.
2. Spacious- As I mentioned before, the 4Runner is packing a lot of space throughout the car, especially the trunk. And for more added space, easily pull down the back seats to haul around oversized items.
3. Beautiful Interior- The 4Runner may not be a luxury car, but the inside will have you beg the defer. The black leather seating with the TRD Lettering stitched in the front seats' headrest gives the inside a dynamic look.
4. Staying Connected- 2020 4Runner has plenty of power outlets to keep electronic devices charged while on the go. Also, keep connected on the Internet with 4Runner's built-in Wifi.
5. Durability- The 4Runner is made for off-road driving so that it can endure just about anything. From driving up steep mountains, going through snow, going through mud and sand, 4Runner's proven body-on-frame construction can tackle any or no roads.
6. Traffic Alert- I was very impressed to see the 4Runner alerting me about road construction nearby and how many miles it would be. Also, the car took me on routes that avoided tolls, saving me money.
Cons
1. Sluggish- The take-off speed is slow. It takes a bit before the 4Runner picks up acceleration. So, yes, it does drive like a bulky car. Similar to the Sequoia.
2. Gas- The gas rating is low, a 3 out of 10; however, that is to be expected with a big SUV. But, driving from Atlanta to Florida, I only stopped for gas once, and with Eco mode, it helped conserve gas.
3. Seating- You'd think that the seating would be comfortable, but unfortunately, it is not. Too stiff in the front seats, making my backside hurt, needing to stretch often to avoid cramps.
The 2020 Toyota 4Runner Venture that's pictured price is $48,394.00.
Overall, even with some flaws, this is a great car to have, especially for explorers. There were plenty of heads spinning, checking out the car while we were in Florida.
Our quick Florida trip was fun, bringing in Lauren's special day. We shopped, dine, and went site-seeing. The 4Runner was easy to maneuver around the city and highways while helping us create memories together.
