Supporting Local Restaurant: Little Bear Atlanta

Don't you just love a cute restaurant?

My girls and I went to Little Bear restaurant in Atlanta in the Summerhill neighborhood to check out this charming eatery and participate in the unique networking/social benefit event supporting this small business.

Little Bear takes fine dining with a twist, providing their guests with top-notch ingredients at affordable prices while in a relaxed atmosphere.

It's not your ordinary cookie-cutter restaurant; Little Bear is an establishment inspired by little spots in big foodie cities like San Francisco, Montreal, DC, New York, etc.  It may be a hole-in-the-wall place, but that's what gives it lots of charisma!

All of the fresh produce used at Little Bear are sourced from local farms close to Atlanta.  The beverage program focuses on small production wine and classic-inspired cocktails, utilizing seasonal produce and food-friendly beer.

Little Bear opened two weeks before the pandemic and was severely impacted during the lockdown. But I'm happy to see that they are gearing up for their re-grand opening on May 5th with dine-in service.

Walking inside the restaurant, the red brick walls, colorful canvas displays, draped lighting on the roof, gives off and mellow vibe making you want to spend the day inside enjoying a tasty lunch or dinner, sipping on some cocktails with friends and family.

I didn't get a chance to try out their food since they were doing take-out only, and I wanted to get the full-on dining experience, so I'll have to return when they open up fully.

However, watching the staff make drinks and food for take-out, I can tell they have been keeping busy feeding their neighborhood guest.

While browsing through the menu, the options look playfully delicious, combining Jewish-Chinese dishes; for example, there is Mala Matzo Balls and Pastrami Xinjiang Fried Chicken. Very creative combination.

It brings me so much joy to see small businesses starting to return back to the new normal.  I know all the hard work they put into their business just to see it come to a halt, and uncertain if they can keep their doors open. Companies had to adapt to change but still find ways to serve their customers safely.

Little Bear follows the CDC guidelines and has outdoor patio options for dining if you feel more comfortable dining that way.  Once they open for dine-in service, tables will be spaced apart, and all staff members will be fully vaccinated.
