The support for Tabitha Brown's Target collection was amazing! I had the chance to attend the fashion show in Atlanta, and I was blown away by her designs. The vibrant and cheerful vibe of the collection is perfect for those who love to experiment with mixing prints and making a bold fashion statement. It's definitely a collection that's perfect for vacation vibes!
Far different than the hideous Little House on the Prairie look that Target has been selling lately. Target needs a new clothing designer. I think Tabitha would be perfect for regularly spicing up the women's clothing section, not just for a limited time.
Maybe the way her collection sold out, Tabitha will drop more than four collections; fingers crossed!
Tabitha's collection dropped on June 11th at 12am PST. That would be 3am my time since I'm on the east coast, but I didn't stay up that late since I had to take my guinea pigs to the vet later that morning. So, I decided I would catch whatever I could find once I woke up.
At around 10am that morning, I had my debit card ready to make my purchases on Target.com.
Browsing through the website, I noticed that there wasn't much of the collection shown, and I don't mean it was sold out, just not showing the whole collection.
Could it be based on my location that specific merchandise was available?
Or maybe Target wanted to have the whole collection available at Target stores?
I found a few cute pieces in my size (Medium) and purchased some things. And I noticed that the plus sizes sold out first, and the smaller sizes were the only things available online. So if you wear plus size and didn't purchase when the collection dropped, you had to go to a Target store first thing when they opened.
And speaking of Target stores, after my guinea pigs vet visit, I rushed to the nearest Target, and the collection wasn't even in the store! What the heck! I hate that Tabitha's collection was only available in some Targets. She has a huge fan base and should've been in all stores.
However, the Target near my home had her collection, but it was slim pickings. Good thing I made my purchases online, or I would've been stuck with just her purses.
I mainly purchased dresses, and some came the following day. I see you Target with your next-day shipping!
I'm loving the pieces I got; however, I had to return a couple, like this dress and this swimsuit.
The Women's Floral Print Puff Sleeve Tie-Back Midi Dress was something I wanted the most, but it fits too tightly in the bust area. Oh, the joys of having a large bust size...NOT! And with everything sold out, I wasn't able to get a replacement, including the rainbow-striped swimsuit. Unfortunately, my bust was too large for the swimsuit as well.
But my other outfits fit me perfectly, with the Neutral Botanical Print Sleeveless Tie-Front Midi Dress being my favorite! With the beautiful patterns, comfortable fabric, and it has pockets, it's a great go-to dress for the summer.
Also, I could wear a strapless bra underneath; however, with the tie in the bust area, you can see the bra through the open hole, which wasn't much of a problem for me as long as I wear a black bra to blend in.
The Women's Leopard Print Knit Midi Dress was my next favorite! Again, bold colors and patterns, stretchy comfortable fabric, easy to wear, and pockets make the perfect casual summer dress. Runs a little big, so you may need a size smaller.
The Women's Tropical Print Tiered Midi Skirt is so fun and flirty! The sizing along the waist is a tad bit bigger, but the looseness worked for me, you know, just in case I'm at brunch and eat a little too much, I still have room. Also, you can play around with this skirt by mixing patterns with the tops.
I must say, Tabitha did an excellent job with this collection, and I'm looking forward to the next drop. Hopefully, she'll consider improving the bust area for people with larger bust sizes.
Oh...and I got details on what are Guest-Favorites!
Although Tabitha Brown's collection has been selling out, I've noticed that Target.com started to restock, so check the website often if you missed out the first time.
