Pink Jeep Tours Smoky Mountains Review

Did you know that The Great Smoky Mountains is the most visited national park in the country, with more than 13 million visitors per year?

The Smoky Mountains are so beautiful, with breathtaking views, making it the best destination for hiking, camping, sightseeing, and enjoying nature.

During my trips, I drive through The Smoky Mountains to get to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.  Still, I wanted to learn more about the park's history and towns, so I booked a tour with Pink Jeep Tours.

Pink Jeep Tours is the oldest operating Jeep Tour in the US, with tours in the Smoky Mountains, Sedona, Las Vegas, and Branson.

There are five tour excursions at the Jeep Tour in the Smoky Mountains:

Roaring Fork Smoky Mountains Tour- 3 Hours

Newfound Gap Smoky Mountains Tour- 3 Hours

Gatlinburg Loop Smoky Mountains Tour- 2 Hours and 30 Minutes

Foothills Parkway Smoky Mountains Tour- 2 Hours and 30 Minutes

Pigeon Forge Christmas Lights Tour- 1 Hour and 30 Minutes (Seasonal)

We chose Gatlinburg Loop, an informative drive through historic Gatlinburg, and a photo stop at a scenic overlook.

The tour starts in Pigeon Forge at the Pink Jeeps location and then drives into The Great Smoky Mountain Park.

During the tour, we discovered the lesser-known things about Gatlinburg, like how the town got its name, the early settlers, the logging business, and why there are so many pancake houses.  We even learned about how The Great Smoky Mountains also got its name.

Our Jeep Guide made several stops so we could immerse ourselves in the natural beauty, enjoying the park's plants, trees, streams, and waterfall at Cataract Falls.

We also explored a historic pioneer cabin owned by Noah "Bud" Ogle learning how his family lived years ago.

During the narrated drive on the back roads of Gatlinburg, we passed by the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community and stopped at a Bison Farm

And during the tour's conclusion, we went off-road driving, which was a very thrilling adventure.  The exclusive, custom 4x4 trail was built to show off what our iconic Pink Jeep Wranglers can do in four-wheel drive.  Even though the Jeep has seat belts, I still had to hold on tightly so I wouldn't bump around everywhere.

This tour gave me a newfound love for the Smoky Mountains.  And it reminded me how fun riding in Jeeps is, bringing back memories of us doing off-road driving in a Jeep in St. Croix.

I highly recommend booking a tour with Pink Jeep to learn the history of The Great Smoky Mountains.  You will grow an appreciation of this beautiful national park and see why it's the most visited.

The tour price for adults is $79 and $72 for children.  The Jeep can hold up to 7 people.  If you would like a private tour, the price is $553 for up to 7 people.

Also, tours are rain or shine, as long as the park roads are not closed.

During our tour, the weather was chilly, and the Jeep offered warm seating and plastic covering to keep us dry from the rain.

Due to the colder, wet weather, I recommend wearing comfortable clothes, hiking boots, a beanie hat, and a warm coat.
