I recently started going to Club Pilates, and I am already seeing a massive improvement in my overall fitness.
If you have been following me for a while, you may recall that I regularly go to the gym and am now interested in adding different workouts to my routine.
As someone who goes to the gym regularly, I noticed my body no longer progressing. Therefore, I decided to explore new ways of training.
First, I tried out a dance-based fitness studio but couldn't commit because it was far from my house.
My oldest daughter Lauren suggested she and I join Club Pilates since it is nearby. Plus, it's a great way to combine cardio, weight training, and strengthening.

Certified Pilates instructors teach the classes using various equipment, including Reformers.

- The class will end with a cool-down and some stretching.
Here are some things you need to bring to Club Pilates:
- Grip socks: Grip socks are essential for keeping your feet from slipping on the reformer. You can purchase them at the studio, but it is often cheaper to buy them online.
- Water bottle: You must stay hydrated during your workout, so bring a water bottle.
- Towel: You can use your towel to wipe down the equipment afterward.
- Change of clothes: You may want to change into different clothes after your workout, especially if you are sweating.
Is Club Pilates Worth It?
After taking the free introductory class, I realized Pilates would be perfect. Although it wasn't too strenuous, it effectively exercised muscles I wasn't even aware I had.
The knowledgeable and helpful instructors constantly push me to reach my goals. In addition, I love the variety of classes Club Pilates offers, from reformer to mat Pilates, and each one challenges me differently.
The equipment is top-notch, and the studio is always clean and welcoming.
I found myself going to Club Pilates more than going to the gym!
By attending weekly classes, I was able to lose belly fat around my core, gain more muscle mass, and improve my posture.
How Much Does Club Pilates Cost?
Club Pilates can be expensive, especially paying for both gym and Pilates membership.
It's important to remember that Pilates instructors undergo a rigorous certification process that demands a lot of effort, time, and money. This is why Pilates classes come with a higher price tag.
At Club Pilates, I pay $109 monthly for four classes; if I want to add extra classes, it costs $35 a class.
The eight-class membership costs $209, and unlimited classes cost $309.
The Downside of Club Pilates
My dislike about Club Pilates is that classes fill up so quickly! I find myself having to be added to the waitlist.
And, if you don't have an unlimited membership, you can't visit other studios, only the one you signed up with.
Plus, to join Club Pilates, you must agree to a 3-month membership commitment.
