By now, you all know how much I love discovering new skincare products. Recently, I found a brand that is worthy of sharing. But first, let me tell you how I found out about them.
One day, I was browsing my personal Facebook page. On my feed, I saw an ad about joining a skincare product testing focus group and being paid $100 for my feedback.
At first, I thought it was a scam. But reading the ad comments, people said they had joined other focus groups this company offers and that it was legitimate.
Joining a focus group is a great way to make extra money, all while having your voice heard about future products in the making.
I love joining focus groups, and since people in the comments were sharing about their experience with the market research company, I thought, hey, why not? I love skincare products, and getting paid is a win-win.
So, I clicked the ad and filled out the signup form.
I didn't know what company I was going to be testing for. However, I discovered it would be a serum for hyperpigmentation.
How it worked was that I used the serum daily, and each week, I filled out a survey they sent me and snapped a photo of my face.
To make a long story short...the focus group was real, and I was in it for a month and was paid the $100 after the focus group concluded.
But the $100 was not cash; it was a $100 gift card for a skincare company called SpoiledChild.
I'm guessing the serum I was testing was from SpoiledChild.
I was disappointed that the gift card wasn't cash because I was planning on using it for something else since I have plenty of skincare products, but adding more to my stash wouldn't hurt.
So, I went on the website to see what SpoiledChild is all about.
About SpoiledChild
SpoiledChild is obsessively tested for serious results. Through an extensive data-driven development process like no other on earth, they have built a spectrum of best-in-class products for skin, hair, and wellness. SpoiledChild products are proven to be the best.
Also, SpoiledChild is a sustainable brand inside and out. Their refillable, recyclable design packaging, which they call the Capsule Culture, helps save the planet by preventing waste.
Together, they are designed to replenish your routine, reduce waste, and ensure the formula's efficacy from full to finish.
When you choose auto-refills, and your product runs out, they automatically send you refill capsules. So send them back your empties, and they'll recycle them for you.
My Thoughts About SpoiledChild Skincare Products
While searching through SpoiledChild's website, I noticed that their skincare products are more suited to mature skin, which is right up my alley.
I was looking for products to heal my damaged skin barrier and fade my dark spots because I'm still dealing with the damage Musely The Spot Cream caused.
I noticed SpoiledChild's skincare products are expensive, starting at $50! Thank goodness for my $100 gift card!
I chose two products to add to my skincare routine, Anti-Aging Retin+ Night Rewind Serum ($59) and Anti-Aging Restoring Moisturizer ($58).
I went over the $100 gift card amount and had to pay over $30 extra.
With the good reviews on the website, I couldn't wait to dive into these two products!
The skincare products arrived within a week or two, and I opened the box that had my two capsule skin products.
First of all, I love the packaging! It is unique, and the bold color inside each capsule makes the products stand out.
I've been using the two products for the past month, and here are my thoughts on each.
SpoiledChild Anti-Aging Retin+ Night Rewind Serum: This serum has Retinol, Bakuchiol, Squalane, and Hyaluronic Acid.
This powerful serum has been expertly formulated to work hard while you sleep. The active ingredients paired together visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines, sun damage, and breakouts.
The serum also helps with cell turnover to target discoloration, hyperpigmentation, and dark spots, revealing smoother, clearer skin. When you wake up, you'll notice a difference in your complexion.
It was time for me to up my retinol game with something much more potent, and I must say, this nighttime serum sure does work quickly. My skin has been doing a complete 180 since using it.
My skin is now firmer, with much smaller pores, fewer breakouts, and dark marks fading! Plus, it has been repairing my skin barrier.
How I use the serum is 2 pumps nightly after I cleanse my face, and sometimes I follow up with a moisturizer.
SpoiledChild Anti-Aging Restoring Moisturizer: This moisturizer has Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe, Squalane, and Peptides.
The restoring moisturizer is a lightweight gel cream that can be used morning and night, so there is no need for a day and night moisturizer.
This hydrating everyday moisturizer stimulates collagen production, visibly tightening pores and smooth skin texture.
The moisturizer leaves skin soft, supple, and refreshed.
This has become one of my favorite moisturizers. It makes my face look brighter and retains moisture all day.
Pairing it with the serum creates a dynamic duo and layers wonderfully with a SPF.
I'm so glad I joined the focus group and received the gift card from SpoiledChild. Not only did I discover a fantastic skincare brand that works, but they actually do clinical testing on real people like myself.
Here are a few things that I did not like about SpoiledChild:
Price: SpoiledChild products are expensive; however, at least the products I have tried work.
Small Packaging: The capsule contains a small amount for the price. The serum is 1.0 fl oz, and the moisturizer is 1.7 fl oz. It needs to be more.
Spam: I didn't like how SpoiledChild would spam me to join their subscription. I constantly received emails, but after a while, it would settle down.
Overall, my experience with SpoiledChild skincare products has been exceedingly positive. The anti-aging retinol serum and restoring moisturizer have significantly improved my skin's texture and clarity.
While the initial cost may be a bit high, the quality and effectiveness of the products make them worth every penny. I'm thrilled with the results and look forward to exploring more of SpoiledChild's products in the future.
