I've been so busy that I almost forgot to share how my 2024 went.
Let's just say that I'm glad that 2024 is over. It was not my year at all. There were so many downs instead of ups, and it tested me.
My faith keeps me strong, but I sit back and wonder how I made it through so much.
As you recall, during my 2023 year in review, the rise of AI took place. AI moved ahead at full speed in 2024, driving my traffic even further down.
Due to this, I panicked and hired someone on Fiverr.com to see if there were any improvements they could make, like fixing blog speed and little tweaks here and there.
I should have listened to my blog designer, who told me nothing needed to be done with my blog before I hired someone on Fiverr. The Fiverr person didn't know what they were doing and deindexed my blog. Slowly, my blog posts were deindexed on search engines, which meant I lost almost all my traffic.
Not only was I losing traffic from AI, but I was also being deindexed! I didn't discover the deindexed issue until almost a year later.
I let my fear get the best of me, and now I'm paying a costly price. To this day, my blog designer is still fixing problems.
Everything that's been happening has significantly impacted my mental health. Therefore, I decided to prioritize my well-being by continuing to go to the gym and attend Pilates classes (I completed 100 classes). I am at the lowest weight I've ever been in years!
I also took a step back from my blog to focus more on living in the present rather than worrying about the future.
If you noticed, I didn't review any cars and had fewer reviews. I was also less on social media (I actually like being on social media less to live in the moment).
However, not everything was terrible; there were also some good moments!
You all know how I like visiting the Smoky Mountains yearly; instead of traveling to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, Tennessee, I went to Robbinsville, North Carolina, the quieter side of the Smokies.
I needed to escape to Tapoco Lodge to ease my mind. I highly recommend Tapoco Lodge if you're looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle.
I can't forget I was featured in Collabs.io Mag! Make sure to check it out!
Also, I became one of the board members of my auto group.
My oldest daughter Lauren graduated from high school and started at the top esthetic school, with me as her first client. She'll be graduating again in 2025 and taking the state board exam.
Michelle is set to graduate high school in 2025, which means I'll be finished with grade school with both of my children! Thank goodness!
So, with 2025, it's all about doing me! I'm always doing for others, and it's time to start doing more for myself. The journey continues with my health and wellness; I'll read a lot more and spend less time on social media, doing things that bring me peace and joy.
As for this blog, hopefully, I can bounce back. I put too much work into this blog to let it fail.
Thank you for continuing to follow me on this blog and social media. I appreciate it!
I know 2024 was a challenging year for many of you, and I'm praying that 2025 will turn things around for the better.
